Who is your favorite sports icon (past or present)?

When I was younger, and playing baseball, it was Kirby Puckett. I modeled my swing after him, and the phrase "Hop on my back" is one I've used in my personal, professional and brief sports careers. Then tales of his off the field choices really brought that to a halt.
Today, I don't really pedestalize any athlete. The shortcomings of men like Adrian Petersen, largely considered an exceptional and wonderful human being, have served to open my eyes to the idea that you should idolize people who truly do good. Yes, professional athletes do great charity work. However, a lot of that is because "they have to." They aren't all scum, far from it. But the ones that are, are tragically, the loudest. Athletes are amazing specimens that do incredible things with their determination and physical prowess. But at the end of the day we're all human, unless we make choices that dehumanize others.

It's understandable, but they do have a history of winning even though right now they weren't its still exciting to watch those teams regardless of winning or losing. But what about KG have you ever seen him play live?

KG WAS the reason they have a history of winning. Kevin Love wasn't quite enough to carry a team of mediocre, or worse that mediocre, players. KG WAS that damn good, and he actually had a semi-legitimate supporting cast. We'll see if these young guns can make it work under Flip Saunders, though. I hope so, being relevant in the NBA would be very fun.
I went to 1 Timberwovles game when I was VERY young. I don't really recall anything of it, but it would have been around the same time KG was playing. Man, we miss a legitimate super star so bad up here.

Are you a T-Wolves fan?!

I'm not a huge basketball fan in general. The Wolves have such a young team that it's hard not to like the idea of them, though. But it's Minnesota sports and we just never seem to get things quite right..although the Wild look good and the Lynx have won like 3 WNBA Championships. But as far as the rest of the major markets go, we're pretty lacking in general.
tl:dr: I'm neutral on the wolves. I love the idea of them, but realistically they won't be a factor for a year or two making it hard to be a fan. I see mediocrity in Minnesota sports every year, so I just don't get hyped anymore.
