WHAT IS WITH THE LACK OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN THIS WAR ON CHISTMAS? DON'T YOU WANNA BE MORE MAVERICK THAN MCCAIN, M'BOY?

Okay, 1) I'm honestly curious how you found this godforsaken account. 2) It's called the persistent smell of latkes that permeates Jewish households for like three weeks after Hanukkah. :P

What do you most wish you were doing right now?

Finding the executive function to start my research project.

What are some laws that you would pass if you were the President/Prime Minister/etc. of your country?

A strong welfare state and stringent non-discrimination laws among other reforms.

Where do you find inspiration when you're low on new ideas?

I read; hopefully I find something intriguing to think about!

Assuming you remember your dreams, what happened to you in your most recent one?

So, I'm kind of a boring person. My last dream I fully remember was literally a (dreamt up) conversation I had with a crush of mine about dating boundaries. I don't even WANT to date them. :p Yeah, it was weird.

Have you ever broken a bone? I'm asking because I keep running across articles online that claim the average person breaks 2 bones over their lifetime. Yet I only know a handful of people who've had this injury (and I'm not one of them!) So I thought I'd see what other people's experiences are. :)

Yes. I've broken my collar bone and it sucked. I was hit by someone on their bicycle (my fault, by the way) and it hurt like hell. I couldn't use my right arm for weeks! Luckily, I'm ambidextrous, so there wasn't too much of an issue with school. (I broke it on Memorial Day weekend.) In any case, that happened a while ago and it wasn't too much of a big deal afterwards.

What was the first album you ever bought for yourself?

The albums All Over Your Face and Slippery When Wet by Garfunkel and Oates.

OMIGAWD, OMIGAWD, YOU'RE COMPARING aUTISM sPEAKS TO HITLAAAAAR!!!!111!!!

No, no I am not--at least not directly. I'm pointing out how their organizations goals and messaging are indistinguishable from Eugenics (because that's what it is); it just happens to be that Nazis are the most commonly identified one of their bunch. Social Darwinism and Eugenics was endemic (an "epidemic" one might say) to all Western countries during that time. Considering how Autism Speaks appeals for money and how they run their organization, a limited comparison to Nazis is completely warranted. In fact, I've found quotes from Heinrich Himmler about gays and lesbians that are virtually indistinguishable from basic social conservatism. Does that mean Rick Santorum is a Nazi? No, it just means his views on social policy related to gay people is absolutely fucking horrifying and repulsive--as was Himmler's. Rick Santorum is not a Nazi as far as I can tell--I'm not saying it would surprise me, but that's beyond the scope of this post. In any case, I'm a Jew and every Jew I've communicated with about it (quite a lot) have been completely supportive, so non-Jewish concern-trolls please go away. In addition, the most recent quote comes from an American who perpetuated the final stages of the great American genocide--"boarding schools" for First Nations. Justifying murder and hatred is easy; hyper-vigelance should be easy, too.

is it better for organ donation to operate under an opt-in or an opt-out consent method? In “opt-in” systems, only people who have given explicit consent are donors. “Opt-out” systems assume that you consent to donate any usable organs, etc. after death unless you take certain steps to stop it.

Opt out/compulsory. The organ transplant system is killing disabled people. I don't know what religion would require complicity with that system, BUT IT'S IMMORAL IN THAT REGARD.

What are you looking forward to in 2014?

:) I'm looking forward to another good year of activism and procrastinating on homework! (The two are, unsurprisingly, related! :p)

What do you think was the best movie of the year?

The documentary of the lethal hate crime against trans* student Latisha King.

How to make a woman happy?

2: Woman=people.
3: Therefore, women will be happy if you're not an asshole to them.
