https://twitter.com/frog_kun/status/580748589233651712 What do you mean by politically correct here?

See, I was making out that my views as a liberal-leaning writer affected the word choice in my translations. To my knowledge, only the specific examples I tweeted about could be construed as a LIBERAL AGENDA. Most of the time, I'm committed to capturing an authentic teenage boy's voice. But when the Japanese is vague, I think my own priorities as a writer start to become more evident, often in spite of myself. So even something as seemingly straightforward as translation is always affected by the translator's political context.
Anyway, that's not really what "politically correct" means. I used the term a bit glibly to refer to my liberal values. If the original contains slurs and cussing, of course I'm going to keep them in, even if that sort of language is considered "politically incorrect".
(Actually, I think there have been times when I added curses and gendered slurs... so much for my liberal agenda!)
