I saw your post about the World's Story. You mentioned that it is on Ambleside Online, but I didn't see it. We are deciding between that and connecting with history. It is for a co-op group and we'd love to hear your thoughts on both curriculum! Thank you!
Hi there! "The World's Story" is something I use in conjunction with Ambleside Online's history rotation INSTEAD of some of their other world history selections, specifically because the history was more accurate and less biased.
In other words, I used it instead of "A Child's History of the World" or the MB Synge histories. You can use the schedule on my blog to do that as it separates the chapters of The World's Story into each AO year and term.
Connecting With History now uses the World's Story so you'd still be getting this wonderful book, plus other excellent selections. I believe CWH is an amazing program and highly recommend it. If you use it, I would caution against getting stuck in a "unit study" approach to ALL of the child's education... For an authentic CM approach, it is important to give them a wide variety of things to think about at any given time. Let me know if that helps or if you have more questions, I'm happy to help. :)
