How will you celebrate your next birthday?

Honestly, I'm gonna be a spoiled brat and ask for money for my birthday. I'll probably invite friends over to the house and we'll chill and listen to music.

What was the last movie you watched?

I think it was American Sniper. It was okay. I mean, I think the actual persona of the main character is a bit heavy handed but Bradley Cooper played it off excellently.

What do you think about recycling?

I think it helps the earth and I wish I was better at it. Or at the very least I could get a recycle bin in my room to throw all the cans of soda away.

How would you do on a song competition show?

Badly. I can't sing well and I'm always way too into the really obscure shit that like, 2 people like.

What was the last thing you ate?

Soft pretzels. If you ever need to get to my heart, offer me warm, salted soft pretzels with some like, cheesy dipping sauce.

What was the last song you heard?

Froggin Bullfish off of Periphery's second album. I got that shit on VINYL, son!

Do you sleep in the dark or with some light on?

The dark. Actually, no. There's the light of my computer's off light blinking. It does that when it's in sleep mode. Either that, or I fall asleep in the middle of listening to Retsupurae videos. I don't know why, but for some reason Slowbeef and Diabeetus are very soothing. I think it may have something to do with their casualness but it's like, real you know? It's like winding down with some buddies after a long day except instead of watching the game we're riffing over bad flash games, shitty video games, and bullshit creepypasta (shouts out to Yuriofwind, I also listen to him). Same goes for Chip and Ironicus but they're not "technically" apart of the Restupurae channel.

Do you like Coke or Pepsi? Why?

Is there really a difference? I've seen people swear up and down that Coke is the devil and that Pepsi tastes like sweat from a sock but in reality I think we've all been swindled into a giant marketing scheme sort of like the console wars. To quote Yahtzee (ironically he's also the one I remember saying Pepsi tasted like sweat from a sock), "It's like you were all born with milking machines and instead of complaining, you painted them different colors and put stickers on them and argued over which milking machine was best." So which do I like? Neither. In a world dominated by a two party system in both politics and soda making I'm going for third party with Dr Pepper.

What was the best movie of 2014?

Shit, I realized that I haven't been to the movies that much in 2014. Out of the movies I remember seeing, I dug Nightcrawler the most. It received relatively little fanfare as opposed to the big blockbusters of the year, but I honestly think it's one of the most intriguing movies the year had to offer. Part of what made it so interesting is that I had no clue what it was going into it so when it turned out to be really REALLY good I was surprised.

What do you do when the remote is too far?

Wait, do people still actually watch TV? Hasn't Netflix and the internet made that thing irrelevant? Honestly, what benefit is there to having a TV that isn't just a "console game player"? And even then isn't there a way I could just hook up a console to my PC monitor so I can just have a media machine?

Best music service? Pandora, Soundcloud or Spotify?

YouTube. Fuck conventions. That and I like actually buying physical media like CDs and vinyl so I guess my local record store too. And Amazon. And I guess Soundcloud because I can find all this really weird stuff like somebody remaking the Kanye West album Yeezus to be a Christmas album called Kreezus.

What's the biggest fashion faux-pas for you?

None. Then again, you're talking to the guy that wants dress shirts made out of that C9 duo-dry material. It's so comfy! Also, the same guy that thinks the stigma against sweatpants is actually a conspiracy by the belt companies to keep them in business. Seriously, with sweatpants, you have the ability to both be super comfortable and adjust the waist size on the go with the string of elastic. If more people wore sweats, the belt industry would be out of business.

How will you celebrate New Year's Eve?

Probably say I'll stay up until midnight, go way past that to like 4 in the morning, and then wake up at 1 in the afternoon. Also known as every weekend night.

What is your favorite candy?

It's hard to choose. I really dig Reese's anything. Reese's pieces a little less than normal Reese's but it's still really good. That or those Flipz White Fudge Pretzels. Damn it. Now I want some.

Which three things would you take to a deserted island?

A magic wand that can conjure up things I need, a book on how to extract electricity from a desert island, and some duct tape.

What makes you cry?

In the society I've experienced, a man crying is something of an oddity. I'm not afraid to cry. For some that seems weird but I actually think it's quite a healthy thing to do. Like all emotions, we have to indulge ourselves a little bit from time to time.
That said one thing in particular that makes me cry is emo spoken word bands (a genre some people refer to as poetrycore or tumblrcore). Seriously, put on Old Gray's Everything I Let Go and the Things I Refuse To EP or Hotel Books' Everything We Could Have Done Differently and I will cry guaranteed. Similarly, A Lot Like Birds' album No Place will make me cry if I'm in the mood for it especially Hand Over Mouth Over and Over/Kuroi Ledge. Those songs in particular are sad on their own but when heard as a part of the entirety of the concept album that is No Place, they gain a new intensity.

If you could be immortal, would you choose to be?

Immortal how? Would I not die no matter what happens? Could I get run over and survive? If we're operating under that logic, would that mean that I can heal myself from any situation? If that's the case, then my body wouldn't entropy over time since I can heal any wounds unlike normal humans meaning that I'm in peak physical condition for a literal eternity. To be able to gain an infinite wealth of knowledge while still retaining a beautiful physique seems like the ultimate dream of literally anybody ever. In that case, I'd totally choose that. But only under the circumstances I specified, none of this everlasting life yet also aging body bullshit. Or the whole, you have life but you can still die by other means cheat.

Do you tolerate heat or cold better?

Since I'm an Arizona boy, I gotta say the heat. It's way less restrictive than the cold. I like being able to wear a tank top and shorts and swim in my pool. With the cold, you always have to cover yourself up in layer upon layer upon layer of clothes to keep warm and getting out of bed in the winter is an accomplishment in itself.
