Hey Adam, I've seen you do a lot of work with some stunning models of the female variety. My question is how do you compose yourself around them, getting them to do the poses you know work? I find I'm very nervous with female models and it shows in my photos. Thanks.

It's all about realizing that they are a professional, you are a professional, and you have a common goal. At the end of the day the female form is just a tool to achieve a stunning photo, just like your lens and lighting choices are tools. Not to objectify it, but I try to focus on using those tools do your job and create an awesome image rather than to focus on whatever emotions you may be feeling. And a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman, I've seen and worked with many, but its not going to get in the way of me creating my art.

Some fans are dying to see there favorites cosplayers completely nude. Help them to make there dreams comes true xD

I believe the imagination is way better than any reality.

How did you end up being one of the photographers for all these cosplay models? :)

Awesome question! It started with me reaching out to some of the local AZ ladies in order to set up fashion shoots (almost all of my first shoots with cosplayers have been fashion shoots). I decided to take a stab at shooting their cosplays and ended up having fun with that as well. I've never considered myself a cosplay photographer, which is why I never limited my shoots with them to cosplay only and it seemed to work out in the long run because who doesn't like pretty pictures of themselves?

Which website or app do you use first in the morning?

Neko Atsume, Twitter, Instagram, and Feedly

It seemed that very suddenly you and Jessica Nigri parted ways. How do you manage the rights for her images as an ongoing thing and did you have any unreleased photos that you had to mothball?

Great question. I have a whole server full of archived images! Occasionally I do go back and edit new photos or re-edit old ones, some of which can be seen on my website: adampatrickmurray.com. As for rights, the original agreements still stand and do not preclude the release of new images unless it was tied to a specific agreement.

Did you always dream of being an photographer ? If not, what did you want to be when you grew up ?

Great question! I always wanted to be a doctor growing up, the whole photography thing didn't stumble into my life until late 2011 when I was 29.

Will you be doing shoots where you wear some of the cosplayer's cosplays?

No, I did that a few times but I prefer to be behind the camera :P

Can you explain why you randomly cut people out of your life, with no warning?

About a year ago I took a long hard look at my life and the relationships in it and realized I needed to give priority to the ones that were important to me. Many didn't really matter, some didn't stand the test of pressure, and even fewer actually turned out to have a positive impact on my life. In the end it is on me to surround myself with genuine, supportive, and caring people so I'm trying to learn how to do that, and having plenty of bumps along the way.

Why did you leave your job at the Chive?

I'm not going to go into detail, but the situation was that I was let go due to creative differences. As a professional I have my own brand that I hold myself to and it didn't line up with the Chive brand. No hard feelings, it actually works out the best for everyone!

are you for or agains carrying guns in public?

I haven't come across a reason to have one. Even the cases where it would be a legitimate reason can only be such a small percentage that I think it's not worth it.

whats the thing about Austin that made you move there??

Lindsay used to live here and she told me how awesome of a place it was, and I love it! It's a cross between east and west, it feels great!
