this game is about scores and FC's, why do people get so giddy over 80% acc clears
you're wrong. games are about setting your own goals and trying to meet them. there are maps made for this game that, passing them with 80% is way harder than FCing with 99% almost any other map that exists, and people enjoy putting themselves through the bigger challenge.
Also, in many ways, playing for a clear is more fun than playing for an FC. When you play for an FC, the only interesting part of the map is the hardest part - since that's the part that will decide if you can FC or not - and every other part of the map feels like a boring waste of time. Either that or the main FC-preventing-thing would be the sheer length of the map, and then it's a battle against your patience (how much are you willing to retry till you stop having one random miss) which many people find just boring.
Meanwhile when you play for a clear, the entire length of the map is a meaningful challenge, and your goal does not depend on a spur of luck but rather on a burst of focus and dedication and being able to push your limits without getting tired through all of the map has to offer at once. I respect an 80% pass on a map like plan 8 way more than having 1000 FCs on random maps that are 200bpm or less and have no deathstreams; and I also find playing plan 8 for a pass way more exciting than trying to FC some map where the hardest part is not getting bored of it and losing focus midway.
