What does the CPCC stand for?

Certified Professional Career Coach, I completed my training in 2013 right after finishing my Master's degree

What was the last life-changing decision you had to make?

2013 in its entirety was life-changing. I challenged myself to say yes to some scary things. But once they were completed in 2014, I was set up to have a better 2015! It's the power of choice.

What do you think you do best?

I'm a great coach! I challenge others to challenge themselves. My purpose is helping guide others to a happier, more fulfilling life!

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

In 2013, I had the pleasure of hearing Maya Angelou and Nikki Giovanni speak live. Both of their messages included the advice to, "say yes": take on those scary challenges and give yourself a chance to elevate to a level that you never imagined yourself being on. Never take yourself out of the running by turning down what could be a life-changing opportunity.

Is it at all possible that you will be using that new recording system to make rap songs with you fiance and friends?

Not a chance. Not even a piece of a chance :0) lol

If the whole world were listening, what would you say?

Don't be afraid to be great; the world deserves only your best self.

What's the best thing you can purchase for $5?

A domain name (I'm pretty sure those go for cheap), time to grow your personal brand!

What's the first thing you check when you turn on your computer?

LinkedIn; that wasn't always the case but it has become my absolute favorite network.

When you imagine yourself as really, really relaxed and happy, what are you doing?

Hosting a workshop for a group of women in the conference room of my very own office!

What can you do to make this world a better place?

Coach people to be more in-tune with their God-given inner voice. I think we'd all be happier, more compassionate, and purposeful in our daily interactions with each other.

What's one of your favorite 'little things' to enjoy in life?

An extra 30-minutes of quiet time in the morning. It makes a BIG difference in my day!

What are you addicted to?

Goal-setting. Every single day I make a list of daily goals and review my long-term plans. Call me a goal-getter!

If you could have dinner with any political figure, dead or alive, who would you pick?

POTUS, Barak Obama

If only one book existed, which book would you like it to be?

The Bible - wisdom, entertainment, healing, encouragement, tragedy all in one.

What do you like to do on the weekends?

Saturday is my fun day (eating out, shopping, an outdoor activity, movies, date with my fiancé, or an outing with friends) and Sunday is my preparation day (rest, exercise, church, grocery shopping, cleaning, weekly planning)

What makes you wake up each morning?

Knowing that my life makes a difference in the lives of others. I'm needed.

What helps you to make the right decision?

Prayer, it gives me the clarity of mind that I need to find the right answer. It always makes me feel more confident about what comes next.

Any piece of advice for any young students on starting a new career?

Ask questions, even the ones that you think are dumb. There are so many older, more experienced professionals that have AMAZING wisdom to share but you'll never get it if you don't ask. Connect with people on LinkedIn, get a career coach, and find a mentor. But also SEARCH for information. Not everything will come easily, things are not always obvious, and sometimes there is no way to avoid working hard. Don't be afraid to dig for information. You can't cheat the hustle.

What do you think when you look in the mirror?

"You can do anything because you are intelligent, fearless, and favored"

What is something you find hard to stop once you have started?

Blogging! Surprisingly, it is pretty addictive for me so I try not to start unless I have ample time to find my "flow"
