Sure, I'd go for a holiday, but I think earth (mother nature) is just a bit too perfect for me, and I wouldn't want to live without her (and indeed, wouldn't! Except for man-made shite) :)

Recently turned 29. Each year, I keep getting older! And that fact is yet to cease being a fact.Actually, I remember when I was a young teenager thinking, "Wow - 18 - imagine being 18! Crazy."Then when I turned 18 I was thinking, "Shit - what's it going to like when I 30?! Imagine being 30!"Well I'm almost there. A little bit wiser, more confident in some instances, with more experience under my belt, but a lot of how I feel as a person is still pretty much the same. It's just that different things happen along the way that change you, shape you. Sometimes new responsibilities are thrust upon you (like parent-hood - not for me personally, just yet!). A number of friends having that experience at the moment. And with that new responsibility, you just adapt as a response to that change.I know that if I reach the age of 80, I'll still feel the same, young, juvenile me. That's something that took me a few years to learn; there's not going to be some magical moment where I feel that I'm now an adult... Most people feel the same way. Just a kid in an ageing body.The now me would like to know that the 80 year old me didn't hold back, took a risk, didn't limit himself to small thoughts, experiences and visions of myself and what I can be (or rather, let through and out).

But it just changed then - 'cause I wear a tonne of blue, and it was the first thing that popped into my head right now! Favourite band of all time - that's always gonna be a tricky one... No-one immediately pops into my head. Some I would consider would be Jeff Buckley and his band, but that doesn't really count. The Beatles? Jamiroquai? Then other favourites are producers (like Zero 7 or 4Hero) so I'm not sure if they count, either. Love me some Radiohead. Not sure 'bout that my answer to that question, though!

Hmm! I'd probably have to make a concerted effort to not be in a continual panicky and worried state of mind, given I new exactly when I was going to die... Funnily enough, I'd probably do what I'm currently doing (writing, performing) but just with a more concentrated effort. Having a DEADline (haha) always helps me get stuff done.It also depends how soon from now I was dying. If it was within the year, I'd probably go and see all the natural and man-made 'wonders' of the world (grand canyon, pyramids, stone-henge etc..). I'd also stop working and live off my savings for the rest of the year if I could. I'd learn to ride a motorbike. I'd go rock-climbing and abseiling in some beautiful outdoor places. I'd go hang gliding. And if I was feeling really bloody crazy I'd learn to base jump, then fly in one of those wing-suits. I'd learn to ski properly and have some fun with that, too. Nearer the end, I'd tell everyone I love that I love them (I'm more talking about friends of mine that I wouldn't normally say this to), even if it fucks up our relationship 'cause they feel awkward about that, or they feel it changes how we relate to each other, etc..I'd "go on dates" with more peoples, even though I feel a bit icky about that notion. "Going on a date!"And yes, I would tell people (not the people I'm on dates with, though - unless the date turned into a relationship). Scarcity of anything makes it more precious for humans, especially life. So telling people, I think, would make my last days all the more sacred.How'd I do? :PThis random question from possibly a stranger comes at a pretty poignant time for me...
