How long has Josephine Skriver been a model? I don't seem to have heard about her, until for not so long ago. And does she still live in Denmark, do you know that?
Her first modelling job was as a baby for local Danish packaging of “Pampers” but got approached about her potential to be a model while visiting NYC! When she went home she joined Unique Models and debuted on the runway in 2011 (NYFW)! Soon started popping up in Milan, Paris, etc. Then 2013 started off in PINK! And the rest is history!
hi! just wondering whats your opinion on the vs swim special? I liked last years cause it was really low key and a real behind the scenes look but this year it seems that vs are trying to make another star studded show it seems more tacky this year
The Swim Special last year was good, but not my favourite thing to watch. This year was amazing though, it was nice to see the girls so chilled and to see behind the scenes pieces.

Just watched the swim special and noticed my fav angels ale and adri were missing how come they weren't in it? Also I feel like the focused a lot on the newest angels I feel like the main Angels weren't in it enough curious to hear your opinion xx
Adriana and Alessandra are both slowly moving onto bigger things... Their reigning title as longest serving Angels are going to come to a close soon, as Doutzen did - they might be reducing their commitment to their contracts. Nothing lasts forever which is sad but also an exciting time for them!

Honestly, you never really know! These girls are capable of bouncing back within weeks, but also may not want to walk after giving birth. So could go either way! We’ll just have to wait and see! Anyway, both were confirmed for the show, Ed tweeted it himself.
do you think models get paid to be in the show? its a job but on the other hand they give them so much exposure that i wouldnt mind at all not to get paid for it. if i was in it.
It just depends on the kind of contract they are under with VS. For example, our Angels earn millions but that includes the little work they do outside of VS. Angels earn more than our non-contract models; the attention and press are good but they’d definitely get paid something for their contribution and dedication during their time with VS.
Can I but tickets to go to the vs fashion show? Or is it extremely exclusive?
It’s invite only, they sometimes auction off tickets but they’re crazy expensive! They normally give away tickets, but you have to be a U.S resident and I’m not quite sure.
Of the newest Angels who do you think will last longer with VS? And who will leave soon?
Sara and Taylor are probably staying, they're pretty much everywhere; I mean, #Saylor right? Lais, Elsa and Jasmine (I don’t know why, but I feel like she may last a while) maybe Romee too? The rest just don’t stand out as much or they fit in; but I don’t think they’ll last as long. Stella and Martha aren't even getting attention; Jac and Kate both left some months ago.
As much as I don't want to, Adriana and Alessandra will be the next to leave... Sadly. And Candice, Bee and Lily will stay for a long time I think, HOPEFULLY.

the vsfs 2008 was so elegant, classy and full of bombshells! they really accentuated the lingerie over having theatrical costumes!! I feel like these days vs is losing their true essence and getting caught up in the enormity of the show! what are your thoughts? xx
The lingerie was definitely the main focus, the outfit was built around it. I really hope they focus more on their product (bra & panties) this year. Then again Gisele has said it's more a Cabaret Show than a fashion show, which is very true. xx
Has Sara ever done HF?
Yes! She opened for Elie Saab during PFW and walked for Balmain as well. She also walked for Tommy Hilfiger, Sara's been killing it lately! That’s where she’s built up part of her portfolio (Commercial Modelling as well!) and her editorials are her best work but mostly only does VS now and a few campaigns/editorials here and there.
You know what makes me glad about the double fantasy bra? The girls are both so incredible and compared so often, but walking down the catwalk TOGETHER you could see how they have such different bodies/features/characteristics but they are still beautiful.
I totally agree with you. VS is all about empowering women, and Alessandra and Adriana are great examples of this. I’m so glad that they were given fantasy bras for the VSFS 2014. Also, I feel as if Alessandra finally got the recognition that she deserved this year. Both are extraordinary angels.
I know that models are supposed to be ultra thin but I think Josephine Skriver should eat a little more. My opinion but I'd like to know what you think of this and her performance.
All of the VS models are fine, and I don’t think any of them need to eat more. Josephine’s body is super fit and toned, so she’s obviously healthy. Some people are just naturally skinnier than others which is completely normal. I thought Josephine was actually one of the stand-out models in the PINK section.
im sorry but after watching ariana grandes performance you should rethink your choice on picking taylor hill as your fave from the pink segment because she was so weak at the end of the runway she did what cara delevignge did last year in parisian nights.
I loved Taylor in the PINK segment, but she's one of my favourites. Although her turn wasn’t remarkable, she still had a decent walk. The way she looked compared to the others is what made her stand-out.
They would of gotten a bit shitty with Ariana for being such a stage hog/getting in the way of the opening. It could of been so much better if she didn't have her dancers and it was just her.
I’m sure the ultimate goal for VS each year is to produce a perfect show with as little accidents as possible, however Ariana getting hit with the wings has created more publicity and attention for the show. So I’m sure VS don’t mind the added exposure. That’s why they often include drama in the final edit of the show. EG: Miranda’s shoe untying in 2011 or Erin’s hat not staying on in 2012.

I do believe it was 100% Ariana’s fault. VS models are hired to walk in a straight line up and down the runway, so if some sort of collision happens then the performer is doing something wrong. All performers in the past have managed to stay out of the way, so there is no excuse for what happened. Elsa did her job properly, and isn’t to blame for Ariana getting hit by the wings.
I can't understand why Ariana Grande was not move somewhere else when Elsa was coming to the runway!? It's such a bad thing. Not just that she thought that she is as important as the models, but poor Elsa... If I would be the model who happened this with, I would be very sad.
I agree. If I was Elsa Hosk, I would be so angry that my opening got ruined due to Ariana Grande being in the way. The most frustrating part is that it’s possible to interact with the models without actually disrupting them. VS needs to hire either all male performers, or female performers that know their place in the show.

In that video of Pink (University Of Pink) the whole Ariana/Elsa thing looked so awkward! You can actually hear in Ariana's voice that she did get scared?
That’s what I exactly thought! You could hear the hiccup in her voice. She knew Elsa would be coming, she should have known it was time to move out of the way so she wouldn’t have gotten a fright.

I would completely love to see her do the main line and more work for VS in general before I judge her Angel potential but I really could see her as an Angel in the future (I actually hope so). She's an stunning girl and as I stated, she's one of my favorite models right now.
What were your favorite outfits and models (including Angels) ?
I don’t have favs yet, due to not seeing the entire full show, but if I remember them they either stand out or are horrible. So right now, my favorite outfits are: Behati and Candice (Gilded Angels), Adriana, Alessandra, Lais, Kate and Shanina (Exotic Traveller), Sara, Stella, Blanca and Karlie (Dream Girl), Elsa (University Of Pink), Candice, Behati, Jasmine, Stella, Lily D and Elsa (Fairytale) and finally, Lais, Adriana, Magdalena, Lily A and Behati (Angel Ball). My favorite Angel is Behati, so to me, she was the best one but all the Angels were amazing (Karlie and Adriana were incredible this year). The newbies that I absolutely loved were Romee Strijd, Irina Sharipova, Blanca Padilla (standing up for my country yay) and Taylor Hill who is one of my favorite models right now. From the other models that have already walked Isabeli Fontana Shanina Shaik, Sara Sampaio, Elsa Hosk, Magdalena Frackowiak and Lais Ribeiro (I love her).
Funny how only the girls got in the way of the models. Why do they have to take over the runway? It's the VSFS not your tour, stand to the side, like the boys or do like Katy Perry did and stand on a massive stage prop but don't get in the way of the models.
I was thinking that the other day and I agree 100%. Ed and Hozier were perfect, in their little corner, signing, interacting but not too much, they were great. Girls definitely tried taking over the stage (even though I love Taylor and Ari, but nothing can be done now, like I say it’s a Fashion Show not a Concert.

Yeah I do love Ariana, I'm seeing her live this summer. She’s at the top of game right now, good publicity, it didn’t surprise me. It was a good decision on VS’s behalf. The only thing that bothered me were all her dancers and that she was in the way most of the time.
Candice and Karlie opened and closed segments, I think this show VS forgot that Doutzen is an Angel... She deserves closing the show at least.
I’m not too fussed on who closes and opens segments, I worry more about who opens the show and who closes it. But I would have loved to see her close the show. Oh well! She was still amazing! xx
Is it official that Lindsay isn't an Angel anymore?
SHE HAS HUNG UP HER ANGEL STATUS! Lindsay confirmed the fact that she isn’t an Angel through an interview with VOGUE UK. So she was previously an Angel, but not in this show.
Do you think Kendall Jenner is going to walk in this years show? I think Kendall is pretty and i don't have anything against her but i don't think she is VS material and she hasn't worked half as hard as the other girls that walk in the show.
Definitely been speculation and I would say she’s walking. VS apparently want to sign her to an Angel contract as well. Personally, I think VS and the Fashion Industry are going downhill if they keep on pinning girls like Kendall, to be “in” with what we “apparently” want to see, instead of choosing models with the actual experience and have worked hard to get to where they are. If everyone got chances like Kendall, we’d all be modelling for D&G, Marc Jacobs and whoever else has casted her. It’s ridiculous. I don’t want her to walk but I know she will, which is disappointing on so many levels.
