Why are you so fat? Dunno how to exercise and do something about it?

1. I'm in a good space and I'm happy.
2. I'm actually a really good diet, and I'm always looking for ways to eat cleaner.
3. Should you feel the need to point out my weight, which is evident to me whenever I look in the mirror, I rather you suggest a good workout and diet plan for me, as opposed to just pointing out the obvious. Be critical, not a hater.
4. Thank you for your concern. I assume it's coming from a good place, only misdirected.

Boxers or briefs?

Always briefs. Boxers, while they give faster access, nothing is funny about having a random boner while you're with your family walking around town and your little buddy is peeking out of the little emergency exit on the front of your boxers.
Besides, briefs are soft, comfortable and give you support, just like your best friend. They know how to hold you right and rub you the right way.

Did weight gain happen easier after a certain age or did u always have weight problems. I'm asking this cos it started going downhill from age 28.

I've always loved food. Good food in particular. Weight issues will come and go but you know, I think the most important thing is to love yourself and have people who love you around because no one else will patronize you more than the people who love you. Plus you get to feel good about yourself.
For real tho, the body metabolism fucks up as we get older. We require more calcium, protein might be harder to process and can lead to kidney failure bla bla bla... So get fit as early as you can.
And that's legitimate advice from the fat comedian.

Do u think U're going to come back with an English accent?

No. I think it's fake - unless I've stayed here at least 6 months to a year, I will not have a British accent. I literally said, "oh ya hor thanks ok can lah" to the locals here.

Any progress on the get fit project? Haven't heard updates on your fitness in a while.

I've begun editing but I actually gotta reshoot some episodes. This is gonna be painful. Thanks for asking though. Appreciate the interest.

Does having sex in cold weather feel any different from sex in a tropical country?

Sex is sex. Everywhere is the same. Somehow as long as you're with the right person, it'll be amazing.
But for real though I prefer tropical weather because I can actually sweat and omg it's so cold here I can't even shower properly and the air is so dry my skin is cracking.

So how much have u spent on this trip?

I think in total about... Everything I have? Yeah sounds about right. $3k - and that's just shopping, food and groceries. Other payments gotta be paid after the trip. I foresee being broke for the next 12 months.

When are u coming back? It seems like I've been gone for ages!

I am coming back on the 3rd of January. I am very homesick. I miss my niece and the hot boys back home. By that I mean my friends.

So do your balls shrink when u go out in the cold in shorts?

I've never exactly fondled myself while I was outside before. I shall check the next time though. The answer may shock us all.

How cold is it in London?

Gets around to about 5 deg Celsius but sometimes I wear shorts to go smoke downstairs. I have yet to get a frostbite.

Interesting. Thanks for your answer. I only wish for there to be more people who share your beliefs. Best wishes to you and Guang Wen and I hope to see you in real life or catch one of your shows, I know we'll have a good chat!

It'll be my pleasure. Hit me up on twitter if you want to! See ya!

So your parents DO know you're gay? I'm sorry if my questions makes me sound rude but I am very curious of how muslim gays get around to being accepted in their family especially when malay families are known to be more conservative. I have nothing against gays, of course. Just a lot of curiosity.

No offense taken at all.
My parents are always in denial, but I will always love them. They like my boyfriend and they ask about him all the time but I think they're still waiting for that day when I magically turn straight and fall in love with a woman, which will never happen. What I know is that my dad has always taught me since young to treat my mother well and I do that - I just don't think they have any right to dip dive into my business.
My sister, I believe, knows about Guang Wen and I, and she likes him too. I pretty much introduced him to my whole family more than once already.
When it comes to being Muslim, I just try to be a good Muslim. For what I know whatever I do is between Him and I. The world can say whatever, and that's fine, they can hold on to their beliefs so long as I am strongly holding on to mine.
I know the term "homosexual Muslim" is such an oxymoron but there's far beyond what a book can teach you. It may sound offensive to some but I believe that His power, understandings and love is far beyond the restrictions of one Holy book. I'm not saying we should change it but people should be more open and that He gave us brains to imagine and think bigger than what we see and know.

Considering the fact that you are more in the spotlight more than ever and with your twitter followers increasing, are you ever afraid that your parents might chance upon your accounts and you are forced out of the closet?

I've been out of the closet to my parents more than thrice. I am an adult and mentally stable enough to stand on my own two feet. I'm very opinionated and I do have open dialogues with my folks when I have the opportunity. I am a firm believer in "it's my life, I'm okay and as long as I am doing a good job as a son, it's all good in the hood."

How did you meet gw?

I think this story is a little old seeing that we get asked a lot. We met online and about less than a month after that, we locked it down. Nothing fancy, we just fancied each other. The whole courting process to me wasn't difficult, and not because he was easy, but because he was my focus and I really was into this guy and I wanted to see if we could be together. It will be 2 years this October.

Do you fast?

I am actually not fasting at the moment, seeing that I am sick but more the most part, admittedly, I don't. Just putting it out there. I do want to fast though but when stress hits me hard, lord, I break down and grab a cigarette faster than a thief in the night. Not proud of it though.

If you had a fan club, what would you name them?

#happyeverlaughter that will never happen, but I like the name The Underdogs lol I want to speak for the ones people underestimate.

If Jack Neo, Anthony Chen, Michelle Chong, Eric Khoo or Roystan Tan approached you to do a movie, who would you choose?

Michelle Chong or Royston! Definitely.

Apart from all the big names you're working with in #happyeverlaughter which local celebrities are you dying to work with?

I'm open to working with anyone. But I really want to work with Kumar on a personal basis. Currently on Happy, we rarely talk to each other because each comedian has their own segment. I want to learn from Kumar. I think he can be a very good mentor too.

If you become a household name in Singapore, will you use your fame to fight for gay rights in Singapore?

I will, of course, without a doubt. However my parents will need to be in the know first. I don't know if I'll be a household name but one day I want to be on the center of the Pink Dot stage fighting for my rights. Our rights.

Would you be keen on working with Mediacorp if they approached you?

That depends. Pay can't be shitty and I will always have to prioritize my work.

Among all the celebrities you will be working with for HappilyEverAfter, who do you like the best?

#happyeverlaughter? Hehe. I love working with them. I don't mean to give a politically correct answer but I love Pam Oei and Judee Tan. They really know how to lift someone's spirit.
Siti K is fucking funny. I love her to bits. She's the first few other than Fuzz who spoke to me.
Selena is one huge role model especially after I started working with her.
The list goes on. I can't pinpoint to say who's the best.
Sebastian Tan is fucking friendly. I like him a lot.
Mark Lee is surprisingly very down to earth.
Adrian Pang is a DILF and speaks very well. Everything he says sounds like a speech at a rally.
I can't go on la. But it really is such an honor to be next to them.
Frankly I'm a guppy in a tank full of pirañas but I guess we all gotta start somewhere. They know I'm nervous but I'm doing my best to not let it get to me.

How does an orgasm feel like?

It feels like dipping a spoon into a tub of Nutella and licking the spoon clean. Aaaaaaaand repeat.

Not a question, but I asked for advice a while back and I guess it kinda helped. (okay, not sure if it's the advice that helped or you opening up my mind to things, but either way, thank you.) Also, you seem like a really awesome person heh

I don't mean to be a dick but which advice were you referring to? I usually remember different cases but you gotta be specific.
Either way, I appreciate you sharing this with me. Thank you.

HAHAHAHA ADVICE ON GIVING HEAD I DIED

i know thats why I'm like 1/13 of the comedians performing this month at the Esplanade! :D

hi superstar...got free ticket not?? #cheapo

Unfortunately no. I can however get you discounts! 25% for cat A!

Are u and GW still going strong?

Well... Yeah. Granted we have our little squabbles and differences, but we support each other very well. That matters most.

Wow Zul, you seem to know a lot of stuff!

I am generally cautiously curious. I also put my thinking cap on all the time. There's always room to know and learn more.

Since it has been a while someone asked you a question, so this is my question: How do you define awesomeness?

Awesomeness comes from within, the willpower of controlling how you act and how you react to certain situations. A lot of people think awesomeness is caused by doing something fun but it really is about predicting or preparing what happens afterwards. An fun person would tell you, "lets do this." An awesome person would tell you, "lets do this, and then..."

Hi Zul! Do you of any rooftop bars thats has a nice view and preferably affordable? Thanks :)

You can try rooftop of The Screening Room, or you could do Ku De Ta at MBS. 1-altitude, but they're pretty selective of who goes up. Indochine at MBS, Kinki is super cute. Google. There's tons out there!

No dude, you're really awesome.

No la I'm just a normal human being that just happens to be a little weird. That's all.

Sighs, how I wished I have half of your awesomeness.

Why? I'm just a normal person. And awesomeness start within self. Find it in you

Can I assume that you're 94.6% honest? What about the other 5.4%?

Well... I don't believe in lying but omission is totally different.

I am depressed. Please make me happy.

What's wrong? Would you like to talk about me? You can email me on mdzulkar9@gmail.com

Where do u hope to see yourself 5 years from now?

I hope to be an account manager (or even director) and do even more theater. I'm looking forward to having my own place with Guang Wen and having enough to be comfortable. Oh and to sleep well at night.

Don’t you think that everything is changing too fast?

#sodep the world is moving too fast and we're all just trying to catch the train to the next destination. unfortunately, most of us have to walk to gat there.

What about close straight friends?

I have tons of straight friends, to be frank, they're the ones I lean on since young. I was always apprehensive of the gay scene and was always scared of judgement growing up.
I always knew I wasn't as attractive as they were, and I stayed away from them knowing that I would be judged.
Eventually I made a lot of gay friends by twitter, but the closest gay friend that I have came out to me years ago, and we just happened to know each other, and we're still close now.
I usually don't see race, sexual preference or religion when it comes to friends. They're usually, to me, a case of whether I like them or not.
Categorizing friends can be a dangerous thing.

Do you have close guy friends who are into men too?

Of course - and we don't sleep with each other too. I don't want to out anyone out. :)

Two years ago, what did you think would be different about your life today?

real talk: i thought i would
1) stay fit.
2) be happy with someone that didn't really love me. (that bastard.)
3) be in school instead of work.
4) still live in Bedok instead of Punggol or Ang Mo Kio (where I currently live).
5) be jobless.
6) not be able to support my family.
7) be free of debt (obviously not since I'm living in singapore.)
8) never be this independent - I clearly don't ask my folks for cash anymore.
9) never have travelled.
10) never be this happy.
And for what it's worth, I'm grateful to God that things happened the way it did.

how did you come out to your parents? have you?

About three to five times and they still don't get it. First my buff friend came over for Hari Raya and they began being suspicious. Then the accidental porno exposure. Then was the Grindr issue. Then the love bite and finally introducing Guang Wen to them. And they still don't get it so I really can't be bothered.

hey zul, just wanted to say you're awesome and i've always thought you're super cool :) so glad to have met you

I wish you would tell me who you are, so I can thank you proper. Let me know, please? It will not be awkward I promise.

What has been the greatest misconception of you?

People say I look harmless and wouldn't hurt a fly. That's a lie.
