Can you recommend me some songs to listen to?

I would but... I don't really know what kind of stuff you like

If someone asked you were you ticklish would you lie?

Sometimes I can't tell if these questions are spam lol. Yes I would lie, I am the most ticklish person on the face of the earth and I hate being tickled with a passion

Are you a good judge of character?Have you ever been wrong about a person?

Not particularly, and yes. I am also more likely to misjudge people in a negative way, i.e. I see the good in virtually no one unless they prove it to me first

Do you tell people when you miss them?

I rarely miss people to begin with, so not really. All the people that matter the most to me are people I see fairly regularly

If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?

I'm not sure of the model, but it'd be something old and cranky that guzzles fuel and breaks down a lot

So... I just saw eternal sunshine of the spotless mind *now I'm in tears thinking about hello*

Such a good movie :'[

Have you ever watched Call Me by Your Name?

No, I don't think it's even out in my country yet... Or maybe I'm wrong

What made you stan/follow exo? Just curious :)

Well, back in ye olden days, I'd just gone through a terrible break-up and I felt generally awful about life for a few different reasons, and I had this constant feeling of having nothing to look forward to. I remember getting home every day and just going to sleep because when I wasn't awake I didn't have to feel anything. I was a bit of a mess. Anyway I went on YouTube one night when I was feeling particularly wretched but not sleepy and I watched some k-pop videos to cheer me up - I was just getting into k-pop around that time - and then I stumbled upon a reaction video to 'what is love' and I was like 'wooooooah these guys can sing!!' This was maybe around a month after they debuted? I'm not too sure. So I started listening to their music, and then i watched their interviews and tv appearances and I fell in love with them and the rest is History. That's how I started. So I love exo infinitely because they have given me so much. I really do believe they were one of the things that saved me, for sure

i REALLY love your fics but it sometimes bugs me that your characters (chanbaek) don't seem to be korean?

This is fair enough. The reason I write them that way is because I know nothing much about Korea or living in Korea, so I tend to write them as Korean characters living in a fictional place that is usually either based on somewhere in Australia, or, as in the case of my current fic, is actually a real place in Australia. This is feasible to me, since Australia certainly does have a Korean community. It did occur to me lately that maybe my characters don't make enough references to being korean, so I tried to refer to it a little more in Hello, but my intention isn't to erase their Korean-ness. It just happens that way sometimes because of the AU that I'm writing in. At the end of the day, I'm aware of it, but it's fiction, so if it makes you uncomfortable you don't have to read the stuff I write. I can't promise I will write them as living in Korea if it doesn't fit a particular storyline (and in my case, it rarely does)

hello! thank you so much for the detailed response. i do think i should slowly build up the plot/character development bcs the problem with me is i start writing and hope things will magically flow from there which is a dumb idea lmao..what do you suggest besides books for inspiration? -tumblr anon

Nothing dumb about trying. Ummmmmmm besides books.... I mean I use all kinds of sources for inspiration and research purposes - poetry, films, TV shows (though to a lesser degree because they require more time, and I get less out of watching TV than reading), articles, people-watching... the list is pretty much endless. Music is a biiiiig big inspiration source for me as well. Tbh a lot of stuff just pops into my head while I'm on the bus staring out the window, lmao

hi! i hope this isn't too personal to ask but are u in a relationship at the moment..?

Nah, you're alright. I'm flying solo atm

ooohh I thought about HMCSD... the dance thing

Yup. I watched a lot of dance-based films when I was plotting it, so bits and pieces of all of them may have wormed their way in there, haha. silver linings playbook, strictly ballroom and shall we dance were probably the main ones

Okay this may seem strange but I just watched Silver Linings Playbook a second time and wondered what it would be like to read an adaptation, of the movie, written by you

Lol well silver linings playbook was one of the things that inspired HMCSD, so in a way I already have (although the storylines are pretty different)

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT BAEKHYUN OF THE NEW MV REMINDS SO MUCH OF YOUR BREAKFAST WITH FUZZ BAEKHYUN T-T

Ahh I haven't even seen the whole thing yet but this just makes me even more curious lmao

Hey! I just wanted to ask what was your prompt for Hold Me Closer Sleepy Dancer? Someone asked the BAE mods about it but I don't think the answer they gave was the right one, and now I'm curious as well ><

Hey hey. I don't remember it word for word, but it was something like 'in a world where love is meaningless and doesn't exist anymore, Chanyeol and Baekhyun find each other'. There was no mention of either dancing or illness, I just took an idea I already had and built it around that prompt

Hello! My friends and I have been thinking of starting our own fic fest but since we're new to this kind of thing, the actual job of moderating it, we would very much appreciate an advice or word of help. Thanks so much!

I have never moderated / organised a fest or exchange in any way before, so my best and only word of advice is to ask someone who has, haha. Good luck with everything though!

OMGGGGGGGGG I CAN FEEL YOUR EXCITEMENT ALL THE WAY FROM THE FURTHEST COUNTRY please tell us specifically about what you saw (I know it's exo lol) but for someone who hasn't seen them in person, I am really curious about how they look and act in person

Tbh I had trouble concentrating on any one thing so I feel like I 'missed' a lot. But I filmed nearly the whole concert so I can go back and watch it LOL. Baekhyun is so beautiful ahhh he's just so cute. But they're all really handsome, Chanyeol and Sehun especially. Suho and Sehun did a great good job mc-ing... Suho spoke really good English. I don't know, I'm honestly still reeling from the whole thing, lmao. AND THEY ALL SOUNDED REALLY GOOD OF COURSE but I never doubted that

Hello, Genna! We'd love to hear about your #KCONAUS experience! How was it? :)

IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg I have no voice left tho

What subjects do you not like to read about in fanfic?

Hooo boy... quite a few. umm, any kind of non-con/dub-con/rape (noooooooo), incest (do not see the appeal in this at all), abusive relationships, paedophilia (?!?!?!?!), anything where one of them is a priest (wtf lol srsly)... those are an instant nope if it's between the main pairing. If one of the characters experiences rape/abuse outside of the main relationship, then I can deal with that depending on how it is written. Also bdsm, a lot of kinks tbh, ABO/wolf stuff, anything with hybrids, mpreg (if it doesn't feature prominently I can deal with it). The above are all pretty much a guarantee that I won't read something. I'm not a fan of rimming either, but I'll just skip over it if it's there. I tend to steer clear of PWP as well because I don't really care about sex if there is not much of a story attached to it, but I don't have an actual problem with it.
Tl;dr -- there are a lot, lmao. I'm not condemning these things btw, except for the first few, maybe. if you like to read or write about them, good for you. I just don't.

Why do we need to differentiate between sex and gender? What is the basis of this differentiation?

Gender is what you identify as and sex is biological, I guess? I dunno. I feel like this question is possibly an attempt to lure me into sounding stupid on the internet, to which I say this: I don't need your hard-hitting questions friend, I can sound stupid on the internet all on my own

Who so you think is the smartest in exo?

Kyungsoo and junmyeon seem pretty switched on to me, but apart from them, I think Baek is up there with the smarties. You can tell he's quick-witted and also emotionally intelligent. They all appear to be smart in their own way, tbh
