Hi Rami! We're a small indie dev team launching our first game at PAX East. This is also our first booth at a game convention. Do you have any advice about promoting/demoing an indie game at a convention booth?
* Practice your one line pitch.
* Mail the press and make sure they have builds and know when the game goes live, and where to find you at PAX.
* Have cards with information about your game and/or redeemable keys on them.
* Make sure that for every two devices, there's one person. Preferably have three people. I've tried doing it alone a few times and it was the most exhausting thing ever (and I'm writing this at 6:30AM without having slept).
* Prepare for a lot of disappointment as people just sorta glance at your game and walk away.
* Prepare for a lot of amazing feelings as people really 'get it' and play for a while.
* Prepare to literally talk to any person that takes an extended glance at your game.
* GRAB EVERY PERSON OF THE PRESS THAT WALKS BY. They have a special badge. Teach yourself to introduce yourself and pitch your game real quick.
