Ask @AXYPB:

Will there be a sequel to Hanahira? Or maybe a side story for Makoto and Koharu?

Hanahira was launched in 2010 as an initiative by Fuguriya to release all-ages titles alongside their standard output in response to fan demand at the time for such products, especially from women. To date, the all-ages line includes only a visual novel, light novel, and YouTube series for Hanahira and a visual novel adaptation of Yuricycle, an all-ages story featuring Risa, Miya, Mai, Reo, and Satsuki, all from adult-oriented titles. From the lack of retail Hanahira releases in the all-ages line and the success of all-ages products featuring existing characters from adult works, it is safe to assume that fan interest in Hanahira is currently not high enough to warrant further works. However, the Hanahira visual novel and its characters were recognized by Fuguriya's Twitter account in May 2016 as part of their 10th anniversary celebration.

Why do you love pantyhose so much?

This was a surprisingly difficult question for me to answer directly. The following is the most comprehensive answer I can provide at the moment, and I will expand on it in the future for those interested.
It is an augment for a natural attraction to female legs. The skin-tight fabric that constitutes tights and pantyhose changes the appearance of the lower body significantly. The complete coverage waist to toe makes for a kind of perfection--a completion--that is not intended with stockings. While much has been discussed about the zettai ryouiki phenomenon, it is directly at odds with my own preferences. Stockings leave the thighs exposed, whereas tights cover the thighs and allow them to enjoy the same benefits as the rest of the leg. In the rare occasion that the waist and hips are exposed as well, the effect is even greater, as the border between the waistband and the exposed upper body can create an effect I would venture is similar to the zettai ryouiki. I am averse to patterns, fishnets, and damage to the fabric, as the perfection is lost with even the smallest aberration in the fabric.
To repeat some information from the two "Apparel For The Petals" posts on Cray's Notes http://axypb.net/apparel-for-the-petals/ http://axypb.net/apparel-petals-part-2/ , the color and denier (thread density) can create a wide range of effects that other garments cannot, all of which heighten the femininity of the curves of the legs--in particular, the color gradient (preferably not beige or "nude" colors), reflectivity, and the ability of the tights to cover imperfections in the skin. Examples include white tights creating an image of purity, opaque black tights showing the wearer as proper and formal, and other colors having all manner of other effects depending on color warmth, none of which are possible to the same extent with bare legs or partial coverings. Needless to say, these effects impact the sexuality of the characters as well; the thighs and hips benefit most by being covered in tights or pantyhose.
All of this being said, it is the feet that are affected greatest by the wearing of tights and pantyhose. While the foot fetish is the most common worldwide, I have a particular fondness for feet in tights, pantyhose, and similar coverings, and do not care for bare feet except in allegorical contexts. All of the above points apply doubly for the feet and convey their own imagery, which is usually stronger than that of the legs. It is uncommon to see characters wear tights or pantyhose without shoes, but these cases are the most ideal in showcasing the above points.
In addition, it is becoming increasingly common for animated works to feature ensembles with at least one character in tights. In animated works, skin-tight coverings of different material can appear to be the same depending on their opacity and how they are depicted to reflect light.

How did you end up being an Editor for the Englisch Translations of Sono Hanabira?

In March 2010, I discovered an English translation for My Dear Prince by Kamyu Aaru and shijima that approximately half completed. At the time, the translation had stalled, but at the same time, I had come across tools dedicated to editing the visual novels created by Proger_XP. Inspired by the success of Count Pacula's prior translation of the first A Kiss For The Petals visual novel in February 2010, I took it upon myself to finish their work with my own abilities in text and image editing and contacted the translators to complete the script. I offered to proofread their work and edit the graphics in order to minimize their workload. I learned NSIS scripting for the express purpose of automating the file patching process and released the first version of the translation on 9 January 2011.
The success of that release attracted other translators for the following visual novels, some of whom came directly to me to begin new translations. For those groups that began their own projects independently, I came to them and offered my support for all editing tasks so that they can focus solely on the translation, and as of August 2014, eight visual novel translations had been released with my support. I now supervise all translation projects for this series at Yuri Project, where in January 2012, the four translation projects I was working on at the time -- Whisper With A Kiss, Dyed With An Angel's Petals, Sweet Grown-up Kisses, and Lily Platinum -- were migrated and made open for everyone to contribute, whereas my past projects were kept closed out of misguided concerns that doing so will attract undue pressure from the translations' audience.

Hi Craig! I know English version of A Kiss for the Petals: The New Generation is not released yet but I couldn't resist :) Without spoiler - which couple is your favourite from the upcoming game? Thank you!

With that said, I am most interested in seeing the story of Hazuki and Manami continue. I find their characters to be the most entertaining of the initial six. At present, they are the only couple to have no drama CD or visual novel to follow the events of The New Generation.

How would feel about A kiss for the petals game taking place in New York (overseas)

Though it has a strong link to St. Michael's facilities, they are not necessarily what gives A Kiss For The Petals its character. The supplementary material has expanded the story to settings far removed from the school, particularly in tropical regions. An excursion to another continent would not be without precedent.

What are your hopes for the Nintendo NX?

The most common wishes for NX are improved computational power and attractiveness to third-party developers, but I would add quality-of-life improvements that are discussed less frequently. I would like improvements on loading times for internal system features and Miiverse, a universal image sharing button similar to those found on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a fully overhauled system interface.
My primary issues with the current generation of Nintendo hardware are long loading times for system menus and no convenient way to save footage or stills of gameplay. Much needs to be done to incentivize third-party development on NX, and I believe a convenient gameplay experience will be instrumental to making games attractive on NX over other platforms. The Wii U's eShop and long time between system power-on to the start of a game are major obstacles to this end. This was especially true in the early days of the system, before a major system update reduced loading times within the system menus.
The inconsistent support for taking screenshots of gameplay results in many players resorting to using mobile phone cameras to share images on social media outside of Miiverse, and while several Nintendo 3DS games feature screenshot functionality, it is sometimes limited to only one screen, are highly compressed, and comes at the cost of several buttons being reserved for it. Nintendo Image Share and Miiverse are available to share screenshots in most cases, but the long loading times to access these services, as well as further compression and resolution reduction on Miiverse, discourage frequent sharing. The ability to access the HOME Menu is also needed in order to do this, and it is sometimes restricted, most notably during online play. A complete reworking of the system infrastructure will be needed to address this, similar to a post-launch PS3 update which allowed its XMB to be accessed from within gameplay.
There are many questions from consumers about the form factor of NX, and with the current speculation pointing toward a modular hybridized design that packs common hardware in a central unit with multiple hand-held devices, it is my hope that the amount of portables does not have a factor in the set-top console's total power.

Which SonoHana couple is your favorite?

Kai
I am asked this question often, and I always hesitate to provide a definitive answer. The reason for this is twofold: I have not fully explored all couples' stories, which prevents me from giving a fully informed answer, and even if I have, I have not spent equal time on each couple.
This may be an unusual perspective, but my favorite couple is the one whose story I am researching and working with translators on at any given moment. As my understanding of each character and their dynamics with the other characters grows, I appreciate what makes them different from other characters in the series that seem similar due to shared archetypes. Put another way, I have not yet encountered a couple in the series I disliked.
That said, if you still want a traditional answer, I would say my favorite couple would be Kaede and Sara, on the virtue of having discovered the series by way of their second visual novel, Itoshisa no Photograph, and being most familiar with them as a result. However, even this answer is not valid, as based on my reasoning above, my favorite couple is currently Risa and Miya. This answer is subject to change as more translations become available, so if I am asked this question again at a later date, my favorite may have changed. I suspect the same can apply for many fans who rely on translations to comprehend the story and character development. This applies doubly to fans who have taken a liking to characters who do not have any translations of their stories, and I feel that those fans are being done a disservice by not being able to enjoy their favorites at a deeper level.

Have you ever tried building a snowman?

OG-Man
Of all of my attempts to do this, one from my childhood stands out. When I was a boy, my siblings and I decided to utilize a large rolling refuse container. We gathered snow in the container and inverted it to form the body. As we searched for materials to use as appendages, the packed snow collapsed on itself. The most we were able to do with this stout pyramid of a snowman after this was give it a face, using twigs for the eyes and mouth and a baseball bat for the nose. So stood Bosco the Snowman until several days after the rest of the snow had melted.

Do you occasionally watch wrestling or once a full moon?

OG-Man
I was a fan of WCW during the reign of the New World Order. When my interests shifted, its peak was coming to an end, and I haven't watched professional wrestling on a regular basis ever since. I am familiar with the aspects of kayfabe and the interactions between the wrestling business and their internet following, but not enough to comment on the current state of the business outside of major stories that get mainstream press.
