5 things about you

1) I'm pregnant with a little baby girl due in February. 2) I met my husband in high school and was a cheerleader so I got to cheer for him in basketball and football! 3) I make gourmet cupcakes for events. 4) I'm trying to better my photography skills so I can own my own business one day. 5) I'm a covert to the LDS faith and it truly is the best decision I've ever made!

What was it like planning a wedding in just a couple months? My boyfriend and I are getting married 2 months after he comes home from his mission. Any words of advice? :) Also, congrats on your new baby!

Thank you! We're so excited to meet her :) my advice is to just not stress out and let people help! Seriously so many people will be willing to help! Utilize the talents of friends and family. And, remember it really is just one day of your life so if every detail isn't "perfect" don't freak out!

You haven't been on here for awhile! How can you be a member of a cult that "washes" you in the marriage sealing? That is sexual abuse and they should be arrested! Thousands have gotten out. Run for your life!

Well... You're actually very wrong here. Being that I have been sealed to my husband and witnessed another sealing I can promise you that the ceremony is much different than you must think. It is beautiful and nothing offensive takes place. I'm not running, I will remain.

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your openness, and how willing you are to share your faith, even when faced with difficult questions! I was in a similar position (convert, married young) at your age and I was not nearly as strong and confident as you are.

Thank you so much :) that means tons to me! Its not always easy but I really try to be open so I'm glad it comes off that way :)

Do you ever feel like there's competition between all of the daughter in laws in your husbands family?

Personally I don't. I feel like we all have our fair share of talents and are really good about including each other. We also don't see each other much so the time we are with each other is so much fun. I have some really supportive sisters in law and I'm very grateful for them!

When you say "when the Lord judges it the right time for you to have children" do you mean that you are leaving it totally in his hands and not using contraception? I apologize for this question being personal - I just found myself wondering!

We used birth control for a little bit then prayed about timing and when to stop. We will go back on it when this child is born. Not too personal it's okay!

It almost leaves me dumbfounded when I see all of the rude and nasty comments some people make about the church! You answer and reply so politely, and that shows a lot about your character. I love your blog, and you and hunter make me so excited for married life! Best wishes to you!

Thank you so much! Yes, it can be a little overwhelming at times. That's the main reason I go for long periods of time without answering any questions haha. I try to remember that most of the time they are just looking for a reaction, and I won't be the one to give it to them :) thanks for visiting my blog! And thank you for leaving this sweet note! It means a ton :) ps married life sure is wonderful, I'm excited for you!

Congrats on the pregnancy! I'm sure you and Hunter will make wonderful parents:) Have you gotten a lot of judgments for getting pregnant so soon/so young? How do your parents feel about it?

Thank you! :) not that I know of ha! I try to stay away from that sort of negativity because we are so grateful that God has blessed us with this little baby girl and no one can take that happiness away from us. We are so excited and so ready for this next step :) as for my parents... They have shown nothing but happiness to me and I'm do grateful for their support :)

Hey Aleigh, I kind of have a personal question. I hope that's ok... I am a young woman of the LDS church and in my house hold birth control is something that is not allowed. I was hoping you could say why you went on it so I could possibly reason with my mother.

Well, I didn't start it until it was necessary. Aka until I got married. I believe that it is our choice to decide and I have heard nothing about it being a bad thing from church leaders. Once you're married it will be a choice you and your husband should make. As long as you both agree you can't lose.
