FUN FACT: Nearly all the deuterium (a stable isotope of hydrogen) found in nature was produced in the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago. So the deuterium atoms in a glass of water you are drinking are most probably much much older than you—they were created right after the birth of the universe!
