Different trans woman to the previous question, also looking to get into sex work. Can you provide any safety tips?
Vet your clients, don't take any that try to get you to lower your rates or that show other signs of disrespect. If you get a gut feeling, go with it. Try to arrange meetings in places where if you shout for help people will hear. Keep something on you that you can use as a last ditch weapon (a metal-barrelled pen or a body spray for example). Try to ensure you have a friend who knows where you're working and expects a call from you when the appointment is over.
you do realise you're basically the twitter equivalent of a motorway pile-up, and the overwhelming majority of your followers are just here for the crazy?
My followers disagree. If you're hatefollowing me that says more about what a pathetic excuse for a human being you are.
when you're on your deathbed do you think you'll look back at the years you spent on twitter and say to yourself 'yeah, i'm glad I posted a quarter of a million tweets about gamergate rather than actually doing something with my life'?
When you're on yours do you think you'll be glad of anonymously harassing a trans sex worker?
Any advice for a young trans woman that will be starting HRT soon that wants to get into sex work part time?
Be prepared, be ready for it not to meet your expectations, be ready to put the work in, be ready for the stigma, and most of all BE SAFE. And good luck! X
Let's say all of your clothes exploded. Spontaneous combustion or something. Magically, three dresses appear- but they are Lady Gaga dresses. The Muppet dress, the Meat dress, and the Bubble dress. Which one do you wear?
I actually had to look these up because I was only familiar with the meat one. Definitely the bubble one, and the muppet one is in second place.
