How do you remain hopeful in a world full of lies and deception? Is there really any purpose to life or is happiness just something we'll always be in pursue of, yet never truly be able to achieve?
I'm not hopeful, lol. I think World War 3 is going to happen within the next year or two (5 years at most). With the rapid advancements in AI, it's likely deepfakes of world leaders will become indistinguishable from reality and chaos will ensue, destroying us all. I'm just happy playing video games and relaxing.

What exactly do IRL friends do together? Like what's expected of you and what do you expect of them? And I don't mean the ones that you only ever speak to at work or school or wherever you know them. I've never had one only ever online friends but someone considers me a friend but it's so different
I have 2 best friends and have known them for at least 18 years. We play games together online once every week or two, for an evening. Since we all live like 1 hour away from each other now it has become rare to visit, maybe once every 3 months. I text one of them daily with random funny stuff but the other guy keeps to himself and only replies like twice per month. I went to Japan for 2 weeks with one of them, and it was amazing. We give gifts and cards on our birthdays. We all met in school forever ago.

Am I depressed? I feel mentally ok? like I'm not crying all the time or anything like that, but I've been canceling plans a lot, not leaving the house, not even wanting to leave my room. I wear the same clothes more than once and I don't want to talk to hardly anyone. What's wrong with me?
I feel like that all the time but I just live with it and keep going to work. Ideally I would just be on my computer all day every day but that's not how life works unfortunately.
