the fact that you answer questions like "How hot is this Tanklin" and "How hot is Nikhil Thota" completely illegitimizes this

Actually, I'd have to disagree with this - answering questions like those serves to show that IMSA, while it is a serious institution focused on providing its students with a fantastic education, still not only allows but encourages students to have fun and socialize.

Why can't imsa students have sex? Aren't we in theory more mature and able to handle it better than the average teenager? It's a normal part of life and if it's done safely without being distracting to academics, what's the harm?

You didn't get admitted to IMSA to have sex, you got in to learn.

I'm completely in love with Vinesh Kannan, but I'm too afraid of him to talk to him. Will I be able to talk to him when I go to IMSA?

I'm always down for a good chat (especially about IMSA) and I almost always stay on campus :D So, yes. Come by 1505 B 15 when you get to IMSA and we can talk, play board games, or start a proletariat revolution together.
And I promise that I'm not scary... unless you bring bad news. O.O

Hey, should I be coming here for the academics, of the social life? Because from what i've heard, both are not very good. For example, I've heard it's almost impossible to get off campus. is that true?

IMSA's a residential school and you get to know everyone here like family. I'd say the social situation is actually really good. A lot of students coming here meet other people with similar interests, and they get to explore a lot of different interests too. As for getting off campus, well, personally my parents visit me on weekends and we go to Chinatown, and I also go home on occasional weekends and see old friends. IMSA also transports you off campus to do an internship or your own research if you're an upperclassman.
Academically, IMSA is also great. Maybe you've heard this rumor at some academic competitions where we don't always make the stellar performance everyone expects, and I think that's because we as a school prioritize collaboration and investigation than competition. The math and science courses are all accelerated and tailored so that you not only learn material, but fully comprehend it. You learn to work with other people and also figure things out on your own, and academics are adjusted year by year based on student feedback.
Speaking from experience, IMSA gives you endless opportunities and an amazing, meaningful education, along with friends that last for a lifetime. Socially, academically, and in so many other ways, it goes above and beyond your other school. And I'm not saying this because I have to.
