How similar is the Scout going to be to the Advance Scout? Where the changes extreme?

Different post (aesthetic change), and a change to the weight distribution on the inner cup...that ridge is going to be smoothed out and pushed further inward, more like the BvsM2. -Steve

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but Not Steve is totally right. I mean, I'm all for spitting out some business that makes me sound like the smartest dude in the world, but the reality is that I've spent my entire career using whatever was handed to me. And working for CLYW, there isn't a single return top in our lineup that can't outplay me. Every single return top we make is capable of more tricks than I have. So really, check the specs and try and glom your friends' return tops to try out and I'm happy to suggest whatever I think at that moment but really....it's all preference. -Yes Steve

So, if the Gnar2 is WAY more stable, doesn't that make the WM2 look bad? I mean, I'm not that much of an expert, but what advantage could a not-that-stable return top bring to make it better than one super stable? Is there something important I'm missing?

It's all preference. More stable / less stable doesn't mean better / worse. And "less stable" doesn't mean "not stable".
Everyone here expects us to be able to definitively quantify each and every aspect of our return tops but the reality is that it doesn't actually matter what we think of them. We design them to our tastes or our player's specs, we manufacture them to the highest quality standards possible, and then it's entirely up to YOU to determine if it's stable enough for your tricks, if it's fast enough for your style, and if it feels the way you want a return top to feel. No matter what answer I give you, it's going to be wrong to someone. -Steve

Which color looks best Blue, Clear, or Black for the Advanced Scout? As many opinions as possible would be awesome!

Hey Chuck! I read that you and Jensen wear the string on your ring and middle finger to help with different stuff. I broke my hand and it hurts when I wear it on my middle finger. I tried wearing it on my middle and ring but it keeps falling off. Any tips?

Sorry I have no tips about it falling off, just try to have it on tighter? I put my string up to my knuckles, so that helps with keeping it on. Sorry to hear you broke your hand dude! But yeah the idea is to disperse the tension and prevent nerve damage. - Charles

I've always been impressed with CLYW, but it seems since adding Steve you guys have really turned into a powerhouse. With all of the releases coming in February and next few months it looks like you've really buckled down and gotten seriously organized. It's nice to know all the great options coming

If you are from Canada how come my Advance Scout is being shipped through US Postal Service?

Because Steve Brown who is handling our store orders is located in the US. Our manufacturing is done in Eugene, OR by One Drop. So it doesn't make much sense to ship them all the way back up here. We used to have a manufacturer in Canada, but they couldn't hit the tolerances anymore. It's so hard to find a good job. - Chris

Pro's and con's of the Wooly Marmot 2 and Bonfire?

Wooly Marmot 2 is wide. Bonfire is wide. Wooly Marmot 2 is smaller. Bonfire is bigger. Wooly Marmot 2 is not as floaty. Bonfire is floaty. Spin times are both good. I dunno. They're fun. Try one! - Chris

Estimated time for the last run of arctic circle 2?

It will start assembly soon. So however long that takes. Usually about 2 weeks. My guess 3 weeks, but I am never the best at this type of thing. You never know when a blizzard might happen. - Chris

Not sure ... maybe 1-2 months. Depends on how quick our anodizer is. - Chris

Why does the Sasquatch seem so much different from other return tops to me? So playful, almost like a fairy (that's tied onto string and get's thrown around)..Maybe it's just that mezmerizing Jensen magic. Can't wait! Are chances likely that the Sasquatch and the Yeti will hit stores the same time?

It's funny because I originally designed this throw in 2009 and like it did okay but no one really liked it that much at the time. The slight design tweak though that I did last year really helped it. Made it play quicker, but still stable. I think the original might have had too much rim weight. but it's amazing now. I love it! I put most of what I learned over the last 4 years into that design tweak though. Nah Sasq will be out waaaaay before the Yeti. Hoping these hit stores soon. - Chris
