because now we have painkillers like Advil and Tylenol, plus relying on alcohol to numb physical and emotional pain can lead to alcohol dependence which is a very slippery slope
It varies from person to person, but alcohol should not be used as a painkiller, or a solution to any problems whatsoever
from what I've learned in pharmacology, yes it can. There are stages of alcohol intoxication ranging from disinhibition to sedation to hypnosis to general anesthesia to coma, and when painkillers weren't around patients who needed surgery were given whiskey and a bullet to bite, hence the phrase "bite the bullet". I know that sounds so nerdy but I literally just had a midterm on this
I'm sure we'd get along just fine then
Yes, more than I should
Probably grey's anatomy
I sure did, I'm pretty sure everyone does at some point though
Pretty stressed out to be honest but that's the norm these days
No problem, anytime!
I think it can be hard for some people to accept that illness can happen to their loved ones, so they'll try to think of alternatives. If you feel that you are struggling with an illness don't hesitate to get help
Nope
That is very sweet of you! I'm in sciences and hoping to go into pharmacology or orthodontics
I loved high school, sure I had breakdowns and got stressed out and sometimes wished graduation came sooner, but it was all part of the experience. The music program and playing soccer was huge for me, getting involved was definitely worthwhile.
It definitely gets better! You can do whatever you want after high school, you can be in charge of who you're friends with, you can try things you never had time for, you can travel the world etc, there's a lot of freedom
Do you mean with friends, leaving home..?
It really depends on the person and how you look at it. Once you graduate, so many doors open up and there are tons of opportunities available. High school is easier in terms of workload though, if that's what you're referring to
I miss everything about the cove! The ocean, the mountains, the people.. living someplace new was hard to get accustomed to
It's really busy, always work to be done but overall it's pretty fun
