I'm going to be a Dragoncon in Atlanta on labor day weekend. If you got an invite from Dragoncon to be a guest and do a panel, would you possibly go and do a Toonami panel there? Dana Swanson will be there this year as a guest and it would be awesome if you were there too and did panel together

I’ll already be there as a part of the FLCL panel! See you there!

How do you feel about video rental store dying out?

I miss all the places like book stores, video stores, etc where you could just browse and lose yourself in the stacks of stuff. It’s a very fun experience that many of today’s kids will never know.

Wasted my eyeballs on this video, so I thought let you do the same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmPcb2Wzxs You've been quoted in it, and I have to ask, you're still married to a 2021 end date of Toonami or does the future extend beyond that in the post-Crunchyroll world?

I’m not married to any end date for Toonami. And I think Crunchyroll and Toonami being a part of the same company could be a good thing for everyone!
Only someone who’s very short sighted wouldn’t see the opportunity there.
WE know a lot about bringing anime to a wide audience, and they know a lot about serving a hardcore fan base. Seems like there’s a Venn diagram in there somewhere that might be beneficial! We’ll see.

Why is J. Phenoix your favorite actor?

I find that he can often achieve a radical transformation in his roles that goes beyond what a lot of actors are capable of. He really disappears into them in the way that only the very best can achieve.

The best movie for you is...?

Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner, The Road Warrior, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Halloween, Alien, The Thing, Star Wars, Goodfellas, There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski, In The Mood For Love, Army of Shadows, Blow-Up, The Conversation, Blue Velvet, Under The Skin.

Was this also the case for shows like Pirates of Dark Water, SWAT Kats, Silverhawks, the 2003 Ninja Turtles and Static Shock? Perhaps also Batman and Justice League for a while? I seem to recall you may have mentioned the network pushed back at Toonami airing the PowerPuff Girls and Samurai Jack.

We weren’t in control of Toonami’s programming then at all, and weren’t made privy to the “whys” of getting shows or not, so I have no idea, sorry.

Alot of people online say that Sam Hydes show on Adult Swim was cancelled two years ago because he wasn't leftist enough is this true?

I don’t know. I’m not in charge of canceling or greenlighting comedy shows.🤷🏻‍♂️

What can I do about my parents bigotry? They are born in a different era and are hateful towards blacks, gays, muslims, interracial dating etc. I'm a high school student

I’ve thought about this one for a few days now, and I’m sorry to say I don’t have much of an answer for you. Depending on how solid your relationship with your parents is, I would suggest sitting them down and talking about it.
You can tell them that while they may feel a certain way about things, they have raised you- and you believe something different.
You likely can’t change their minds, as racism isn’t “logical,” but you can impress upon them that their views don’t align with yours, and ask if they could, at a minimum, keep those thoughts to themselves.
If your relationship with them isn’t that solid, I would work on keeping your head down, getting out of the house, and once you’re not living under the same roof it might be easier to have that conversation.
Finally, you could see if you have any other relatives- and aunt, uncle, etc- who feel the way you do, and see if they’d be willing to broach the subject with them.
It’s so hard to break someone out of racist ideology, you may eventually need to see less of your parents, but I really hope that doesn’t happen. Sorry I can’t offer more. Good luck.

Have you listened to Denzel Curry's Taboo and Travis Scott's Astroworld? If so, any thoughts or opinion?

I love the new Denzel Curry, been following him for a while now. I’m not sold on the new Travis. It’s definitely better than his last few records, which were just... empty to me, but I need more time with it to decide if I’m just really into the production, or if Travis may have grown as an artist.

What your opinion on Juice WRLD?

I didn’t really like emo when it first came around, and unfortunately I don’t really like emo rap, either. At least, not so far!

Since the announcement that Bojack Horseman, a netflix show will now air reruns on TV, since Neflix shows airing on television will most likely be trend soon, does it make it possible that one day Dreamworks's Voltron Legendary Defender show will ever air see the light of day on Toonami? That would

I mean, who knows! I’d say at this point anything is possible.
