I hope this isn't too business-y, but since IGPX is leaving the block, is that it for it again, or will it be able to return again in the future when and if you guys choose to? I really enjoy the show and with the absence of easy-to-obtain DVDs for it, I'm hoping it won't become unavailable again.

It'll be back, don't worry!

what is the most post-apocalyptic sounding album you can think of

Hmm that's a big one. For me, anything by Slayer or Burial.

what are some of your favorite cartoons from your childhood?

I've said this before but Star Blazers, Robotech, Force Five, Voltron, old Disney and Looney Toones, Tom and Jerry, that kinda stuff.

have you ever tried skateboarding? If yes were you any good?

I did try it, but I'm too big to be any good! Didn't last long.

All other major networks that have joined music labels promote their artist on their network Nick, Disney etc. To great success so why can't adult swim promote William street artist?

First of all, Adult Swim is not Disney or Nick. We're not shoving pop stuff into young kids' ears to turn other kids into stars and thus make the shows those "stars" are in bigger hits. Adult Swim and Williams Street are a totally different thing. Beyond that, we've shown Dethklok, Cheeseburger and Cerebral Ballzy videos, all of whom have had albums on Williams Street, and we use Killer Mike and his music all the time- seen the new Boondocks promos? Recognize his voice? So I'm not sure what you're talking about, or why you would compare an Adult net to a kids channel.

I don't agree at all that Goku is like Superman. Goku isn't a superhero who fights for the planet, he generally fights for himself like Vegeta said at the end of the Buu arc. Thoughts on their similarities? I only see their origins as similar, but their reasons for fighting are different

I don't think they are that similar, but I also don't care and I have no idea why the Internet has made it such a thing.

Honestly the fact that a simple programming block like Toonami can get so many people to get into anime and animation but also inspire them in so many ways is a feat in itself. I'm absolutely amazed by it. What you and the crew have made is incredibly special and I can tell you're all proud of it

Thank you, much appreciated.

It's no surprise that Toonami fans look at Anime fans as elitist snobs because we're not enjoying the same things they are and really, regularly shitting on popular stuff like Deadman Wonderland and SAO. What is the appeal of Toonami?

I know plenty of anime fans that are also Toonami fans. Toonami is a "gateway drug" to anime and action cartoons that has exposed millions of people to their first anime, and thereby turned millions of people into anime fans that go on to explore all the format has to offer. And we've worked hard to make Toonami more that just "shows." Many, many people have been kind enough to reach out to us over the years and tell us about how their first exposure to Daft Punk, or Gorillaz, or a particular videogame, etc was also through Toonami, or how they remember a TOM speech, or a particular music video we made and how it inspired them. We've also had many people tell us how a particular TOM speech or video helped them get through a hard time, or make a hard decision, or even in some cases, helped them not kill themselves. If you can't see why a block that can do all that, plus treat every single one of the many many shows we've aired with more respect than ANY other network, then I don't think you'll ever "get it." The fact is, anime fandom would not be what it is today without Toonami, like it or not.

Do you ever watch slice of life and/or romantic comedy anime? If so, what are your favorites?

Not my preferred genre, to be honest.

Hey Mr Demarco, i missed a few episodes of black lagoon and i want to get caught up with toonami. Are they on streaming services? and if so, which one would you recommend?

Sorry, I'd look it up online. Think they're on Hulu? Or Funimation.com. Good luck.

How about a new show for Adult Swim I call it: IGPX the After Years, Takeshi is now a 30 something year old married man raising 3 kids (all girls). The story revolves around him and his family and their wacky adventures.

I'd watch it.

do you think when you get older and have grandkids, do you think your going to be like Rick from rick and morty ?
