Even as someone with no real religion, I think a world without religion would be extremely stressed out, with a huge lack of human decency and respect. Buddhism, for example, shares a lot of common ground with Western psychology, which helps a lot of people deal with stress and trauma. Abrahamic religions have inspired a lot of artwork and philosophy. Religion, in general, has opened up a lot of discussions regarding science, ethics, and diversity. If nothing else, some people simply wouldn't have a moral code whatsoever if they didn't have religion.
