Ask @Cristafari:

When looking back to 2016, which are the most memorable events you have experienced?

So many. Let's start with idol/artist related...
1) Wasamin's first solo concert in January. Such an historic event for her career.
2) Wasamin's Christmas dinner shows. What an amazing time!
3) Wasamin's Fan Club events. Especially the Halloween event since Wasamin and her manager personally arranged my invitation after I was too late to apply
4) Chaki's solo live. Every time I see her I like her more.
5) My first HKT48 solo handshake event. I finally confirmed who I really like in that group.
Non-idol related:
1) Making the Dean's List in my first semester back to school after dropping out XX years ago.
2) Spending pretty much half the Summer at the beach, and the other half out in the desert. It is the most tan I have ever been in my life.
3) Seeing my niece perform at the Youth Dance Championships at Disneyland
Yeah, it was a good year.

What is your favorite joke?

Apparently I like "X walks into a bar" jokes...
Favorite dirty joke:
Three mice are sitting in a bar in a pretty rough neighborhood late at night trying to impress each other about how tough they are. The first mouse slams a shot of scotch, and pounds the shot glass to the bar, turns to the second mouse and says: "When I see a mousetrap, I get on it, lie on my back, and set it off with my foot. When the bar comes down, I catch it in my teeth, and then bench press it 100 times."
The second mouse orders up two shots of tequila. He grabs one in each paw, slams the shots, and pounds the glasses to the bar. He turns to the other mice and replies: "Yeah, well when I see rat poison, I collect as much as I can and take it home. In the morning, I grind it up into a powder and put it in my coffee so I get a good buzz going for the rest of the day."
The first mouse and the second mouse then turn to the third mouse. The third mouse lets out a long sigh and says to the first two, "I don't have time for this bullshit. I gotta go home and fuck the cat."
Favorite clean joke:
A grasshopper walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Hey, we have a drink named after you!"
The grasshopper looks surprised and asks, "You have a drink named Steve?"

how was meeting hashimoto kanna?

Surprisingly fun. Her handlers were pretty strict, but she seemed excited to meet me at the book signing event. Then when I saw her the next day at the shamekai event she looked shocked. Like "oh, this guy might really be a fan" instead of some random foreigner who stumbled into her book signing. She's a nice girl. I would definitely meet her again.

Can you recommend some places to vist in japan, Ofc there are mainstream places which everyone vists..but are there any hidden gems you recommend?

Hmm, it's kind of a broad question. I think much of that really depends on your interests. There is a lot of touristy stuff I really enjoy doing every time I am here. Things like:
Going to SkyTree: It really is an amazing view. Hard to believe you are that high
Amusement Parks: Yes they are expensive, but the Disneyland Parks and Universal Studios are always fun.
Yebisu Beer Museum: Only because it is a nice relaxing place to enjoy a couple of cold ones. They usually have special beers. The Summer Mint Beer was disappointing (tasted like mouthwash), but this winter they have a Blackcurrant Beer which is quite tasty,
Here are a couple more, which despite being touristy things to do aren't on every idol fans' radar...
1. Take a shinkansen trip...anywhere. To me one of the most fun things to do is to grab a bento and vorite beverage from the Ekiben and taking a long trip on one of the fastest trains in the world. It's expensive (a railpass helps) but a great experience.
2. Hiroshima. In particular the Hiroshima Peace memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome. Actually, the entire city is unique. But this park is an incredible experience I think everyone should see.
3. Enoshima. The small island near Kamakura has great atmosphere, nice views, and wonderful seafood. In fact, the entire area from Kamakura along the route of the Enoshima Electric Railway is really nice. Plenty of temples, shrines and the Great Buddha statue. There is no train to get directly to the island. To access the island from Enoshima Station you walk across a 1/4 mile bridge.
4. Edo-Tokyo Museum. This is my favorite museum in Tokyo. Even the building is really neat. Located in Ryogoku right by the Sumo Stadium, it covers the history of Tokyo through the Edo period.
Anyway, those are just a few off the top of my head. I also love going to the Odawara Sakana Market for fresh seafood grilled yourself on picnic tables. It was recommended by Wasamin a couple years ago. In fact I plan on heading there this week, weather permitting.

After misaki graduates from akb, will you still go to the concerts + theatre performances?

For the last three years, since the release of her album all of my visits to Japan have been planned based on Wasamin's schedule. Her solo releases, her concert, etc. All of the AKB stuff I have done has just coincidentally fallen into my trip window. So her graduation announcement doesn't really change much of anything for me. Will I still apply for 48-group theater shows and concerts? Yeah probably. However I may not be going to handshake events like I used to. I still like AKB (and the other 48 groups). But after 9+ years I no longer have the same enthusiasm for the group that I once had.
The bottom line is that Misaki-chan is still my oshimen. Graduation from AKB doesn't change that at all. I highly doubt it is even possible that I could develop the type of fan/artist relationship Wasamin and I have with any other idol. And with the career path Wasamin has chosen to take she needs her fans' support more than ever. So I am committed to support her enka career as much as I can.

who is your personal kami7?

That depends. Are we talking about 48-group Kami 7? Then it would probably be something like...
1. Iwasa Misaki
obviously Wasamin is my #1 Oshimen, there is no member on her level in my eyes.
2. Yakata Miki
3. Matsumura Kaori
4. Tani Marika
As for 2-4, these girls are all interchangeable to me. In fact in the past I would have reversed their order. But Mikitty gives me such a Kami handshake experience that I find it hard to rank her lower than #2. Same with Kaotan. She might be feisty, but she really is a blast at handshakes, and extremely good to her fans. I love Tani, and she is hysterical during handshakes. But I just haven't yet created the "relationship" I have with Mikitty and Kaotan,
After 4, it is really tough for me. I mean I really only have a "Kami-4" But If I am pressed for an answer I would say:
5. Tomiyoshi Asuka (my new #1 in HKT, and she was awesome at the concert this weekend)
6. Tanabe Miku (just because I have been going to see her for so long)
7. Ishida Anna (interestingly I have never really had a great handshake experience with her, but I still find her captivating)
Now if we are talking about "idol" Kami-7, and I mean current idols (not Meetan, who is retired) it would look like...
1. Iwasa Misaki (AKB48, soloist)
2. Araki Himeri (Alice Project)
3. Aoba Hinari (FES☆TIVE)
4. Yakata Miki (SKE48)
5. Yazawa Erika (former Idoling!!!)
6. Hatakeyama Chisaki (former SDN48, current solo artist)
7. (tie) Matsumura Kaori/Tani Marika (SKE48)
