why do you play smite over league or dota?
I've never played League of Legends because I like having all the characters, and there's no viable option to do that in League so I never touched it. I did put some 350 hours into Dota 2 but I eventually dropped it because it just wasn't that interesting after a bit.
I first got into Smite when the God Pack came out, which lets you get every character past and future for $30. This was back in the early beta. After that, I played it a bit and then promptly forgot about the game for several years before a friend of mine started playing it. So I jumped back in to play with him and had a lot of fun.
What attracted me to the game after a while was how everything in Smite was skill based, there are almost no lock-on abilities at all, and it meant that you could often beat people who were a higher level then you or whatever if you could simply outplay them. The other thing was that some of the ways the game utilizes it's camera is very unique and cool. Janus, the god of portals, lets you make portals through any of the terrain and zoom around the map in a ridiculous fashion, which is a lot of fun.
After a while playing and watching the competative scene, I got pretty good and met some cool people in the game and decided that I wanted to try my hand at entering said competative scene, and now here I am.

Just to continue the movie questions, what was the last movie you saw that surprised you with how much you liked it? Mine would be John Wick, a movie with Keanu Reeves that is both good an has a role he fits in well.
So, okay, I'll be honest, the last non-anime movie I saw before Divergent was actually the Hobbit, not the latest one, the first one, in theatres. I'll let that sink in before I say that I actually don't remember what came before that.
What was the last movie you watched?
Divergent. It was utterly atrocious. Avoid at all costs.
What are some of your favorite movies? Specifically the ones but the ones that stick with you long after you see them. Genre doesn't really matter.
I'm gonna assume that you mean non-anime movies, but if not, anything here would be on this list: http://wp.me/P4ueMq-b2
Otherwise, off the top of my head: The Godfather, the Original Star Wars Trilogy, District 9, Blade Runner, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, the Dark Knight, the Prestige, and the 2004 live action Peter Pan (yes I'm serious).

Why do girls' and boys' clothes have buttons on opposite sides?
Hell if I know.
What do you like about Sayaka?
I think I've answered this before, but the reason Sayaka's my favorite character pretty much ever is that I see her as probably the most heroic character of all time. She was an idealistic girl who found out that the world was horrible, and that her notions of morality, love, and justice meant nothing. Yet, after making this discovery, she made the conscious choice to stick to her ideals and become a hero. She was punished for this over and over again, punished for not to letting familiars kill people to become large enough to harvest grief seeds form them, punished by Kyouske for her sacrifice and unrequited love, punished by her own lack of power, but she never stopped trying to be the knight of love and justice she idealized. She even refused to take help from Homura, who she saw as evil at the time.
In the end, her refusal to change destroyed her, and she fell to despair and became a witch. Despite it all though, even after she had died, she still made the choice to sacrifice herself for Kyouske at the end of the story, consciously sealing her fate and dying for someone she loved, despite getting nothing but death for it. Sayaka, to me, is probably the most heroic character of all. She decided to become a hero like Superman in a world that punished her for her actions, and she stuck to her ideals to the very end, even though it killed her. This resonated with me more powerfully than pretty much any other arc in fiction ever has, and she's my favorite character of all time for it.
Also, her tomboyish enthusiasm is kind of adorable.

Did you cry at Idolmaster episode 20?
No but I got very close. It was on a level nothing else in the series came close to. It may even have rivaled some of Hanayamata's best moments
What do you think about recycling?
Your favorite anime.
In what way is the writing in A Song of Ice and Fire bad?
It's kind of hard to put into words without going into very specific example though, but that's pretty much the case with any piece of writing, and I don't have the text in front of me or the time to do that so I'm sorry if this doesn't answer your question very well, but here goes:
Martin's very good at certain things. He's a very good composer of stories and lore, and he's also excellent at placing you into the character's eyes through some clever diction and good dialogue. Those are his strengths, his weaknesses are pretty much everything else. His moment to moment action scenes are cumbersome, his descriptions (while certainly very detailed) are often tiresome and unnecessary, and much of the way he presents things lacks what I could describe as flair. I've read the first 3 books many many times, but after reading a greater variety of stuff, I've just seen him woefully outdone in terms of writing and general structure and, more than anything else, pacing.

What freaks you out?
Snakes and heights.
You have a smite team, but do you watch smite tourneys?
Yes, though mostly just the official ones with the big name teams involved. I also watch a lot of streams by KikiOrNah, Suntouch, and MLCSt3alth.
How is Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso doing at the moment?
I dunno. I dropped it. People who like it seem to like it more and people who didn't seem to like it less or have dropped it like me. Which suggests it's doing the same thing as before only ramping itself up

Do you sleep in the dark or with some light on?
I find it almost impossible to sleep with any light on in my room. For that matter, I find it almost impossible to sleep but especially when there's light on
Post a picture of your wakeup face!
Like this but less cute
I really meant that for iblessall hahaha
Oh, okay, I was wondering...
Are you a leader or a follower?
I mean I follow more people than follow me on Twitter so that's an indication of one thing. At the same time, I made my own Smite team so that's another... or it would be if "my" team actually listened to anything I said... er...
Besides your country, which is the next best country in the world?
I'll get back to you when I start doing arbitrary country rankings, so approximately never
