What do you want to be recognized for?

YaoiMasterSadist’s Profile PhotoShenzo ❤ Sho ~
I'm working on getting a leadership position at work. I would love to be recognized for my experience and dedication to this fact that we call EMS. I want to help people be better and provide better patient care and be better emergency vehicle operators.
I've been doing this shit for nearly a decade now and I want others to benefit from that experience.

People you may like

What really makes you angry?

Teimuur’s Profile PhotoTeimur Munis
Incompetence, esp at work.
I am actually fuming about that very issue tonight due to an incident that occurred while I was off duty that has forced the GM to issue a change to our company policies regarding a certain kind of situation due to someone fucking shit up in a way that should never have happened.

Do you avoid answering certain people's questions on here because you're jealous of them or don't want to boost their stats? Be honest.

I'm am hardly ever jealous of anyone tbh

Whats that one thing that you would never give away? no matter how much money offered in exchange.

sharmaranveer’s Profile PhotoRanveer Sharma
My sense of duty to others.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to touch the lives of others in ways very few others can. I am given glimpses into peoples' best and worst days. I am a part of a system that can change lives in a very drastic way.
My sense of duty drives me to be ever ready, willing, and compassionate to people of all walks of life. Life is both so resilient and yet so fragile. Humans are both infinitely kind and infinitely cruel in turns.
My duty dictates that I see things through to the best of my ability and to always take the actions that serve the ones around me as best as possible.
So the thing that I would never give away is my duty and drive to serve and protect. It is an integral part of who I am and shapes the way I live my life and the actions that I take.

Are you rude ?

yup XD but only when I know the person well enough that I know that they know that I'm just fuckin' around with em and am not genuinely being a dick to em. If I'm not teasing someone or poking fun/making jokes then I probably don't really give a shit about em or know the person all that well to even begin making any kinda left field black humor jokes etc

Are you anxious about driving when it rains?

sirenic’s Profile Photo• . ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞AͨNͧGͭEͤL
Not at all. I love driving in the rain. Granted I drive nearly 1000 miles every week, and most of it in an ambulance.
The only dicey situations are when there are issues with tread/traction, wipers, and/or lights on the truck. At that point, I am ABSOLUTELY gonna be concerned and extremely cautious even choosing to let the truck be in service. I'd rather notify Fleet Services and Dispatch that the unit is unsafe for operations in its current conditions.
Other than that, if all is in working order, I don't mind driving my car or the medic unit in adverse weather.
I worry more about the moronic drivers around me than my own driving.

Everybody is waiting for something. What are you waiting for? What does this question mean to you?

Hmm. I take back my previous reply. You pose an interesting question. I shall do my best to answer.
I await and pursue the day I can be proud of myself again. I am waiting for the moment in which the pain and the suffering and the all of the struggle pays off...I await the day that my efforts finally yield results that I can truly be satisfied with.
This question reminds me of the one posed to me by the Council of Knights, and in particular, my mentor.
The question they posed was "What is the Grail? Whom does it serve?".
It took me years to find the answer to the Secret of the Grail.
My Quest is an arduous one, but I suppose no one accepts the Journey towards Knightly behavior expecting personal reform to come without personal sacrifice and effort.
I await the day that I find the deepest meaning to my life and my pain. The answers to why I have suffered and gone through so much for so long...

How would you define consciousness, morality and evil?

Iamahomunculus’s Profile PhotoHawkeye
You have some amazingly deep questions. I do apologize for the slow responses. I've been...occupied as of late. I intend to slowly answer more of these as I can.
Consciousness is to act with clear-minded intent.
Morality is gray and subjective. Almost anyone's morals can change depending on the circumstance and situation. Morals are a flexible set of guidelines we live by that are often defined by our upbringing and the times we live in.
Evil. This one is actually the most difficult one of all imo to define. Evil is also...somewhat subjective. There are certainly things that we consider to be "evil" without question, genocide for example, however aside from major acts of unambiguous cruelty and savagery, how does one define evil? Is it evil to kill in self-defense? You are taking a life that may not have been necessary to take? Is it evil to steal food when you are starving? Is it evil to do to others what was done to you? Where is the line exactly? I don't think humans have any real way to define "true evil", as such is extremely rare amongst our race. There is certainly cruel, misguided, and corrupt, yes, but are they like the villains we grew up seeing on TV and in films? Are they world ending monsters who barely blink at atrocities committed in their name or by their very own hand? Most humans balk when evil shows its true colors before them, even the ones we consider to be "evil". In the end, humans are weak, fragile, and fickle. They rarely know what true evil is. Many have not fallen to their knees in sheer terror, tears down their faces as they beg for salvation from the horrors in front of them. Few humans know what it is like to be faced with a situation where there are no right answers that will guarantee their survival...that no matter what they do, there is no way to overcome their enemy or adversary. Humans are privileged. Humans are coddled. Humans of today's "civilized" societies do not know what evil really is as we live in our climate-controlled, electrified, and water-supplied homes. We do not hunt our food. We do not fear the effects of war daily. We do not face extermination. We do not have any natural predators except ourselves. We predate our own people not for food...but out of greed, pride, fear, revenge, and lust.
How can we truly define what "evil" is when most of us have never seen a truly evil act? Never faced those extremes?
Even now, as I search my memories, I am not certain I have met anyone I could say with total confidence was "truly evil".
I know this is most likely not the answer you were expecting, but those are just some of my thoughts on the topics you brought up.
Feel free to ask follow-up questions on anything I have spoken on.

Complete this sentence however it resonates most In a world where........, be the person who..... You can of course paraphrase as long as the gist of it remains intact.

In a world where pain and fear is a currency, be the person who deals in compassion and authenticity.

Have you ever broken a bone? How long did it take to heal and how painful was it?

YaoiMasterSadist’s Profile PhotoShenzo ❤ Sho ~
I fractured a finger once. It was more annoying than particularly painful, if I remember correctly. Having a finger splint gets in the way.
I would say my carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis are more problematic. The plantar in particular is quite painful at times.

Is journaling a good option to work on your past trauma, pinpoint where it led to toxicity and try to figure it out while trying to fix yourself?

Journaling is certainly one good option, yes.
I've done it in the past myself tbh. It has its merits and it's flaws, as does everything.
Journaling does not replace proper counseling/treatment by a professional should your conditions warrant it.
If your symptoms seriously impact your day to day life, cause you to self harm/consider self harm, or have you considering taking your own or someone else's life, please seek immediate and professional help.

Have you ever wanted to join as a service? Like the National Guard? (If you served thanks for your service.) (If you don't feel comfortable with answering this question just ignore)

Ice_Frozen_Vocals’s Profile PhotoŞωεεT† ɮȩ̷̠̝͙̎̑̆ℓℓล ♡♪
If i joined the military, I would join the US Coast Guard either as someone out working to save the environment, Search and Rescue, or Maritime Law Enforcement.
I currently serve as a frontline EMT on a critical care/specialty care truck and plan to transfer to State Police in the future to pursue a State Trooper/Flight Medic career.
