Hey guys and squad! :) Here your question: Why peoples are obsessed to control the world around them? Feel free to go into details. -Stay classy awesome peeps-

When people grow desperate and insecure, they attempt to manipulate their surroundings into a situation they feel thwy can control so as to avid showing how insecure they are.

Do you like DVDs?

Like dvd films and games etc? I dont like or dislike them. They simply are a part of life.

What are some book series that you really enjoyed/enjoy reading, excluding Harry Potter, City Of Bones, and GOT?

Oh man, THIS ABOUT TO GET SERIOUS.
AHEM.
OKAY.
The Ender's game series, but don't read Ender's Game. Start with Ender's Shadow because it's from the perspective of Bean, who, without a doubt, was an infinitely better, more interesting and relatable character than Ender ever was.
The Shannara series, though it could get a bit repetitive at times.
All of the Redwall series, though it was geared towards a younger audience, but I grew up reading each and every single one of them and watching the tv series.
The Dragon's Path (is part of a series) has been pretty good.
All of the Artemis Fowl series, albeit it tends to be thought of as a children's book.
Keys to the Kingdom series!
The Old Kingdom series.
Inheritance Cycle.
Graceling.
EON.
The Bartimaeus series.
and many more!

I was watching "black mirror" and so I have a little question for you. If you could record everything with your eyes, which memory would you rewatch over and over again? :)

Ooh, good question.
I have a lot of trouble when forced to pick "just one thing" or a "favorite" etc.
As far as rewatching a memory of mine, I'd have to say I'd choose the memory of working at the state natural sciences museum back in high school. I had so much fun and I felt so at home there.

What would you do if you was in a restaurant and a waiter accidentally dropped your food? It happened to me today and he kept apologising and I told him not to worry about it because I'm autistic and if I was the waiter I would of cried, I teared up a bit when his boss shouted at him.

I wouldn't mind much. I understand that he didn't mean to drop my food and that I'm sure he feels just as frustrated as I am.
Better to give him a free pass, let him know it's all good, and just wait for a new order of food to be made.
We all make mistakes in life. It's best not to beat a dead horse and just let it go, when possible.
Thanks for the great question Ben!

The police from the prevent strategy which is a counter terrorism unit visited me and made me see the errors of my ways, you can all block me after this, I would just like to apologise for the lives I've ruined and apologise to the people I've upset.

Police came to my house to warn me about my online behaviour, so from now on I will no longer be making racist questions or threatening people

-Ben
I shall leave you all with the following to think on...
Actions have consequences, even on the internet.
I mean what I say when I give my warnings.
If you ignore my warnings you do so at your own peril.
Thank you to everyone who contributed evidence to my report.

"She cut me loose when I no longer amused her," said the male who threw a temper tantrum and blocked "her" after "she" made an innocent joke.

(Second question) "She used me, so that she wouldn't have to get her hands dirty," said the male who jumped at the opportunity to help and offered much more help than was needed."
(Third question) "The least you can do is stop playing the victim and talking shit about me over and over and over again. Let it go for once."
(Fourth Question) "And, for the record, I come to your page because I know I will have something juicy to read about myself. I like attention and drama, remember? You're giving me exactly what I want. Poor Erin."
Oh, Diana, it's funny how you always seem to know the moment your name is mentioned.
You never cease to blame others for your own shortcomings and are only proving me right.
From here on out, you will be blocked, reported to ask.fm, and further more, I won't hesitate to file a complaint with local law enforcement for cyber stalking and harassment if you continue to send your crap to me.
Go away. Do not send me any questions. Don't message me.

✧ #4: what song can you not stop listening to lately? what's so special about it?

poetalunam’s Profile Photoleigh; ✨️
This song speaks to me of the trials of this world. It speaks to me of the sacrifices made to protect our community and our brothers and sisters in uniform.
"Meet me on the battlefield, even on the darkest night, I will be your sword, your shield, your camouflage...we may be the first to fall, everything can stay the same or we change it all..."

✧ #5: what's the biggest change you've made in your life recently?

poetalunam’s Profile Photoleigh; ✨️
Becoming a paramedic.
It is a huge change in my life and how i face the world.
I know i am one of a unique and special population capable of doing things others can only dream of or see on TV.
That, to me, has changed me.
I am forced to recognize my accomplishments and my purpose. I am a roled model and a guardian in my community.
I hold the trust and reputation of generations of first responsers who came and served before me.
I must live up to the title of Paramedic.
Being trained as a medic is special in and of itself. The things we are trained and able to do is mind boggling, when you consider the time span and setting.
Medics train for about two years and we work whereve we are called. A house. A hotel, the stree, the side of a pool even...that becomes our office.
Thats not even including the truck. Thats a metal box on wheels where we have to often stick a teeny needle into a tiny vein with pinpoint accuracy. We do everything from giving medication and electrotherapies to talking people down from suicide or self harm.
When shit hits the fan, you call for the medic.

i feel like doing a 5 question spam !! ✧ #1: when was the last time you felt genuinely happy? what were you doing?

poetalunam’s Profile Photoleigh; ✨️
Today, in class.
We were laughing so hard and making so many terrible jokes...
And terrible by EMS/first responder standards.
We told one guy to "turn up his hearing aid" after he was thevonly one to not have heard how many times we had shocked our pt.
We joked about how the book store sold outdated used ACLS books that turned out to be overpriced on top of useless.
Made nurse jokes about nursing home staff doing CPR on a geriatric with a pulse and still breathing...
Laughed at the story of a crew who gave narcan to a guy who had no indication of overdose...
I was dying of laughter by the end.
Oh and our cpr dummy leaked out of his back after we pushed drugs and fluid cause one of tubes got messed up xD
Joked that he was an incontinent pt.
First responders are nuts, im tellin' ya.
If you want a good time and some outrageous stories, hang with a crew of first responders.

How do I increase confidenceÉ

Work hard!
Chase your dreams and putsue your goals.
Be relentless. Be courageous. Be kind.
Be unashamedly you, even when it might seem silly.
And never be afraid to ask for help nor to give help.
Real life example. I was the secondary medic on our simulated cardiac arrest. My tasj was to get an IV in the patient and give him fluids and push epinepherine. I had my IV and stuff ready, but i coyldnt get ny medical tape to tear. I asked one of the engine crew to tear me two strips of tape and to grab me a dose of epi from our medical bag.
In day to day life, and during emergencies, you have people around you. There is nothing wrong in asking for hand in doing something as simple as tearing a strip of tape or opening a package.
We are all big kids. We get that it isnt that you are incompetent or stupid. We all need some help from time to time.
Hope this helps!

How do I make friends and keep them?

Be honest. Be yourself. Be confident. Those three things will help a lot.
Do what you love. Odds are, you'll find like minded folks doing stuff you enjoy if you just do what you like anyways.
The caviat being to not limit yourself either. Be open yk trying new things or doing things a diffetent way.
The rest is up to the other person.
Friendship us a two way street. You can do everything right, but if the other party isnt interested, they wont be your friend.

Why did you join ASKfm?

It has been years since i joined but i have no idea what the initial reasoning was xD
In other news though, just ran through a couple mega codes in my Advanced Cardiac Life Support class where we were rotating CPR, bagging the pt, i gave a few rounds of Epi after getting a line in, we shocked him a few times, and dropped him from Vtach/Vfib down to asystolic. Ran through our H's and T's and found the pt was hypoglycemic so we hit him with some D50 to grt his sugar up etc.
It was a lot of fun.

In what way did she use you?

She manipulated me into ridding her of a stalker of hers without getting her hands dirty, used me for information, and for entertainment.
When i no longer amused her, she cut me loose and turned on me.

Why do you get irate when someone mentions the name "diana"? I'm curios, were you in a relationship with her before? Please don't get mad. I'm just curious and you can delete your answer afterwards if you want. :)

She pretended to be a friend, admitted to multiple instances of emotional manipulation, used me for her own benefit, then proceeded to make it all look as though i was just being overly emotional and that i was playing the victim.
A real piece of work.
I was never in a relationship with her nor did i want to be.

I'll take that as a, "No". I, too am a woman that wears hijab, and the curiosity does arise although rarely. But no, I have never undressed a woman or a man with my eyes. Thank you and good bye.

My apologies!
I answered that question first thing when i woke up and in my daze I assumed it was another creepy white supremacist/racist like ben trying to rile me up.
I come from a muslim family and many of the women wear hijab, so my half asleep self kinda took offense at the thought of anyone potentially looking at my sisters or cousins etc like that, ya know?
My sincerest apologies again if I caused any offense.

What do you think about third language? Is it important or not? If your work requires you to speak in mandarin would you learn it or leave it and learn another language because you like to learn that 'another' language?

I think learning a second or tgird language can be important especially with how diverse and multicultural society is becoming.
If i needed another language for work, i would probably learn it.
I have had times that i wished i did know the language od my pt to better provide care and comfort.
I think if it came down to it, i wouls learn spanish for the practicality and japanese because i just find ir so fascinating.
