Do you get overwhelmed with information outside of social media

Yes.
Happened to me only yesterday, and the day before.
I observed that my response strategy was to shut down everything else except one priority item. Once that was finished... , and it took a bit of doing, I did not look up I did not look left or right. I did not engage in social media, shoveling snow, splitting wood, or even watering plants... once the priority was finished, I could then face the rest again.
The trick of course is - deciding which is the priority item. It’s handy if you have one, and it is probably neurotic and counterproductive to just choose or form one randomly.
For me the priority was to schedule a Covid vaccination, ASAP, In a state where out of millions and millions of people, there are only 300000 available each week. The effort was akin to trying to beat an entire video game. In one day (without cheats). ... Done. Online.
However, based on thoughts above, and this recent experience, I now suspect that when there is not one REAL priority item in ones life, and priorities are left up to a more or less lukewarm set of choices, then prioritizing is difficult (meaningless and not authentic) and a real overwhelming scenario is the natural outcome.
So, working theory: (regarding being overwhelmed) It is likely that a challenging life with strong, high impact priorities will do. A meaningful life, with high self-esteem, should also be helpful.
False and artificial priorities beliefs, habits, may work for a while, even a long while, but ultimately, in an examined life, they will reveal their weakness, and there artificiality.
So, first steps, coming to grips with the artificial bits, through actively examining life, and disposing of formerly closely held beliefs and artificial meaning. Doing this can engender or require paradigm shifts (emotional and intellectual transformations) however the temporary loss of former meaning may cause disorientation, and ensuing rough patches for a time, till meaningfulness and purpose resolve, but this seems the (only) path to better understanding and a full and fulfilling life. (Big picture, not a checklist, sorry.)
And it strikes me that, struggling in the midway position, between artificial beliefs and priorities, and real knowledge and priorities, and being overwhelmed, is a great place to be, because in this location we are now clearly halfway there. A start has been made.
We are now on the bridge between two Shores.

Well, that was an easy question to answer ... well armed and under the thrall of the Dunning-Kruger effect, having just been invited to ASKfm.
However.
It now begins to dawn that it does not take too much at all for meaningful participation (ex: in ASKfm) to grind to a halt, or to be transferred to less meaningful, or meaningless responses.

Are you aware of how the food you consume affects your brain health? Do you aspire to improve your brain function by what you eat?

Yes what we eat influences our brain function.
Naturally, what we eat influences other aspects of our body “health” too. Our body, including brain, is a complex system.
Come to think of it, our body exists within and is part of another complex system, we call the environment, which impacts us as well. (Example: binaural sounds)
To your question:
About 20 years ago I became a vegetarian, and then a vegan. A definite and sudden change in diet.
Correlated with this, and I assume causally related as well, (But we never be sure can we?) My brain function, improved. My focus improved. To my surprise, one day I noticed that I could do longer math problems in my head, A feat which in the past i was chagrined that I could not do. Mentally, in other ways, clarity of thoughts and comprehension of reading improved.
So, yep. What you eat )anchor much) affects your mind.. and you. Big time.
Errata: One then wonders, Why is it that both our body and certain Madison Avenue advertising agencies, seem to want us to eat very specific things, which by my measures over time, Don’t seem to be terribly beneficial to our minds... or bodies?

What would a person have to do for you to start perceiving them as a full-blown psychopath?

Perhaps more pertinent, what would I need to know, how must I be educated, before I understand that a person is a psychopath? (or sociopath, or on the spectrum)
It seems to me that it is not as much about what they and the many others who surround us might do (though the doings give important identifying clues), but do I have the wisdom and the checkboxes handy to identify, characterize, be aware of the dangers?
... and more important still, do have the wisdom and tools to keep myself and others out of, or to get out of the crosshairs?

More so.
Cyber leverages the efforts of the stalker, and allows many more and damaging effects/events. Cyber permits a wider web to be cast and amplified by the stalker. Damage can be greater and more wide spread.

Have you ever experienced anterograde or retrograde amnesia, or know someone who has? How did you (or the other person) cope with it?

My mother did. After a fall , she could remember childhood, but mot being married. She soon recovered to a great extent, but some words sometimes eluded her afterwards. In these cases, She would usually acknowledge the fruitless search, substitute another word, and keep going...
I do not know if other than words were lost, but certainly her procedural memory, good habits, supportive husband, and written notes snd recipes allowed her to cope very well.

Isaac Asimov once said “Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent”
It may be that inner frustration with the conflicts involved in mental illness form a feeling of incompetence and that or increased frustration correlates with more violent actions and words.

Do you believe that cannabis can induce psychosis? Why?

(I believe that) Yes psychosis can arise, but my reasoning is abductive only, not based on a controlled study or any pharmacological knowledge.
A person can set up or retain standards that they attempt to meet in life. When inner conflicts arise between those high standards and actions, psychosis can be the outcome.
Those inner conflicts that can set up psychosis, may arise from a conflict between disjoint goals, between what Daniel Khaneman defines as System One and System Two, and/or between any chemical or bodily pleasure-response system and a logically held goal or standard.
This principle, I believe, applies broadly, not just to your question.
If A person does what part of that person does not want to do, there is conflict, which can lead to psychosis.

Information overload. How to maintain fair level of sanity with this evolution of information? How to maintain a balance between knowledge and understanding?

1. Back off social media as a whole for a-day or more to regain perspective and focus.
If possible do this at least once a week
2. Set a limit, if possible numerical, to how deep (vertical thinkers) to follow a series of posts, comments or to continue a conversation, thought or post.
3. Set a limit to how many simultaneous posts, projects, people (lateral thinkers) to communicate with simultaneously.
3.1 try to focus on one post (like ASK responses) at a time, (the world can afford to wait a bit for quality.
4. Avoid mindless scanning of posts. Instead use search.
5. Discontinue unproductive conversations and platforms.
6. Keep posts short, useful, and succinct, instead of detailed.
7. Proofread posts before hitting send.
I haven’t yet used social media extensively, these occur to me so far.
It is good you bring this up, as I’ve noticed some signs in my own activity that could tend to fuel a burnout.

As fully responding to this question may require consideration of a number of complex issues, the simple case first:
CASE 01. 200126’0445
When “Telling” the full truth is accomplished through a narrative. (story, book, image, chart, etc., that communicates information and concepts from one person to another)
In this broad case, lies cannot logically be a part of a true narrative that is used to express the full truth ... except in at least one case I can think of: when the lie is stated as an example of a falsehood.
In other words, saying: “[something untrue] is a lie” can certainly convey the truth, in which case [something untrue] is a supporting part of the true narrative. [something untrue] is not a part of truth described in the main narrative. A lie that is a part of the narrative, and posing as truth, is not logical or consistent with the Full Truth.
Case 1 Conclusion: lies cannot logically tell the truth. (A Lie is not equal to Truth)
That said, This simple question is not as simple as It looks, so to avoid finding cases characterizing the above noted conclusion as a lie, more CASES should considered for possible validity. Please ASK further if interested in my thoughts on several other Cases.

What is a fear you have trouble re-engineering?

You got me. I owe you two then.
Broadly, fear comes in two modes. Daniel Kahneman’s System One and System Two.
The subconscious, and the conscious modes of thinking respectively.
1. It’s nice to think that System Two, the conscious part, can eventually be convinced (by logic) that there's no reason to fear. To be fair, this takes intention and time, time during which there IS fear, AND verbal logic is probably never fully convincing to the conscious mind either.
2. And the subconscious System One is not nearly as easily convinced as system two. It does not respond well, if at all, to words and logic. It deals with the language without words. I think system one responds better to reassuring hugs, chocolate cake, and holding hands than logic...
So, recent system fears:

1. Fear of loss of physical capability to do things I love to do - gardening, bicycling, landscaping, painting, mowing, and repairing and improving things. Writing, traveling, creatively thinking and meaningful conversing with friends. This is most potent as it transfers across from system one to the system two, and can manifest as a panic attack.
Oddly, fear of death does not seem a part of this. When I do risky stuff nowadays, I find I now (emotionlessly) try to make sure I have left things properly arranged for others in my life, in case I die in the meantime.
2. Fear of loss of a valuable relationship. This one is especially poignant, (if irrational) as when I was in high school such a thing as this did happen, without warning, understandable cause, or comprehension, and changed my life forever. As such this one manifest generally in the subconscious system 1 variety, And a manifest as a kind of a short circuit.

Would you say that you are a slave to your own desires? Why? [Q by @erosdea ]

Our desires certainly desire to enslave us.
Desires are the carrots on sticks, tantalizing, and always before us.
These desires, the basic, non artificial ones, guided our ancestors, every one, successfully through the process of natural selection.
The Extent to which these same desires are successful, or that we can break from them, depends on us, our new goals, our plans and our discipline - especially if our modern and consciously thought out plans do not align with the desires that are built in.
That said, our daily lives, Are built on automatically using desire as a gauge to what actions we will take.
Take selecting a meal, especially if there's a big selection. We generally select what we desire, and NOT what we might know to be good for us. (Carrots or carrot cake?)
Humanity seems to have recently arrived at a transition point where we are both able to, and need to change this automatic desire following without thinking paradigm.
Because, If all humans continue to follow all of their desires, and achieve most of them, Interpolation over a relatively short period of time, The earth and humans will resemble a petri dish, where the bacteria has consumed all of its food.
Example: Easter Island 🗿
It’s time to take a careful look at that carrot on a stick, and where it is bringing us. The danger may be that we actually get there.

What words do you desire to hear?

As with all desires, it seems to me that this “answer” can vary widely, depending on, well, many things..
To start with, Your words rate very high on my list. Compact, thoughtful, insightful, instructive, and most of all engender further thinking. I am enjoying your posts.
So: “Yours” is my first (and short) answer. I love how your words make me think.
Secondly, words, as a part of language, each embody concepts, or signify relationships between concepts..
Words strung (linearly) together, help and enable us construct and understand more Complicated concepts, And these concepts in turn can be arranged in such a way (ex: term paper? Thesis?) to discover, describe and convey even more complex concepts. These more advanced complex concepts can prove to be quite useful.
That said, it has occurred to me that we are limited in The concepts that we can understand and construct, by the words that we know, and the concepts that they embody. I understand that there are in some languages words that embody concepts not present in say, English. These expanded word sets can be vast expansions of seemingly simple concepts such as time, location, Physics, philosophical concepts, types of precipitation (Eskimo), Vegetation, soil, radiation, etc.
What if there are critical ways of thinking required for ultimate human survival, that presently elude us due to not having the right language or concepts constructed and available?
So second, I desire to hear words that expand, and illustrate concepts that are not otherwise understood through any other words currently in existence.
Development and use of such novel words/concepts may in the end help with both expanded understanding and the actual survivability of humans, or at least of consciousness.
An example of creating or defining a novel word or concept can be found in the novel: “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand.
Ayn Rand took a whole very long book to basically define just two word/concepts: “First-hander”, and “Second-hander”.
Regardless what opinions one might have about those words/Concepts, and Ayn Rand , the point is it took quite a bit of effort,a whole book, just to develop those two words / concepts.
And now when we say the word “first-hander”. We don’t need to read the whole book to understand what it is. It is now a compressed concept. Very handy indeed.
Examples of other such useful words/compact concepts, relatively new, which took whole books, or lifetimes of work to define are:
Defensible space,
Space-time
Climate change
Etc.
The words I want to hear are new words, embodying concepts that will help us understand, or further comprehend the reality of the full structure of this universe and of the phenomenon of our consciousness.

Fears? Hmm.. If I Close my eyes and look about inside, I don’t presently see any fears. Now, why is that?
A clue could be this:
A ways back I attended a seminar that explained that a fear is in essence a “False Expectation Appearing Real”. “F.E.A.R”.
The Dictionary also provides a clue, indicating that fear is an emotion, unpleasant, caused by “belief” in future danger, pain, or threat.
So there it is: fear is a belief about the future.
The future is notorious for not being predictable, and beliefs can differ from reality.
Certainly a prediction of the distant future rarely pans out because it is generally an interpolation of the past -as such, it does not account for paradigm changing innovation, or unknown variables .. but even the weather report a few days out can generally be depended on to be false, Or at least imperfect.
So, to some extent, predictions, especially about the future, are as a rule, false.
So, in applying the above understanding, in the past, when a fear arose inside of me, I would examine it: Is the expectation real? Probable or improbable? Is the expectation in my control? What is the worst that can happen? What is the best it can happen?
After this thought process, I found i was able to settle down and actually then take a look at what was the worst and best that can happen, and what can I do to make that happen? Generally there’s always some element of control in an anticipated event. Take advantage of that!
In the best cases, I found that I could re-engineer the FEAR acronym to: “GEAR”- Great Expectations Appearing Real. And find a way to actively make that happen instead.
So, at present, although I really do have many and significant challenges, I do not have fears.
Two side-notes:
1. another interesting word is dread. Dread seems to usually involve something a little more certain, like entering an exam room having not studied at all for the exam. One dreads the results, naturally.
I have noticed though, things that one might currently dread, may have once in been in our control... And there was a failure to take the right direction at the time. Why didn’t we study? Accordingly, dread, are haps nearly inevitable, is to be learned from for the next time.
So, be alert to consequences of the present course, ( examine life) and take control at the right point in time. When you have control. Not when the only option remaining is dread.
2. In the past, I have noticed that events that I did fear, once arrived, we’re not fearful at all.
A cold certainly takes over, the only or best path through the feared event becomes obvious, the inconsequential worries, and distractions evaporate. There are no more choices to take up and split attention. There’s one course, you take it. With only one option available, emotions subside, and one moves quickly through the event. And it is over.
In retrospect, there really was no point in fear. It is not real. Once understood, it evaporates.
