Why did someone ask you about TTGL and whether or not you like it?
I was making tweets about Hiroyuki Imaishi a few days ago. I have such hot takes that they need 35 hours to defrost because they've been in the freezer and I dunno why folks care
do u not like TTGL :(
it's silly and I appreciate a lot about it but most of it ain't for me sry
What's a type of show you think would be neat to see as an anime?
Okay, legitimately: imagine a reality-TV-style anime. Like with cutaway cams and everything, except the show follows the cast of the show-within-a-show during and after recording. Like that first episode of The Idolm@ster, except for like an over-the-top-Big-Brother-style show.I think there's a live action US show that's got a similar premise going on but it'd be neat to see in animation?
As a separate question, what do you feel is the weakest year of noitaminA?
2015, holy heck, EASILY 2015.Saekano -- boring at best, annoyingly self-satisfied at worst. Punch Line -- best thing of the year and has some great animation at moments and a twisty-turvy plot, but it's also ecchi as hell and pretty not-funny. Rampo Kitan -- I liked this better when it was called Un-Go and the adaptation was a lot more seamless and done by a competent writer and director (again, Un-Go). The Perfect Insider -- I AM ALLERGIC TO DUDEBOOKNeedless to say, I'm not excited for this article.Runner-ups: 2013 (Silver Spoon is salvageable from this year, SamFlam is a show I appreciate for its efforts more than I think it's actually good), 2012 (Kids on the Slope, Tsuritama, and Psycho-Pass save this year; we'll see how Robotics;Notes survives when I actually sit through it)
What year of noitaminA do you feel is the strongest?
2010, very easily. Shiki, Princess Jellyfish, The Tatami Galaxy, House of Five Leaves, Nodame Finale? Sure, we also had the Moyashimon live-action but we all know you nor I have watched it or count it. Runner-ups: 2005, 2009, 2011 (outside of Fractale, C, and Guilty Crown).
What TV show has gone off the air that you wish would come back?
To steal an answer from another friend: Pushing Daisies. Needs a dang proper conclusion. Also unpopular opinion one: Dead Like Me. That show means a lot to me and needed a proper conclusion as well As well as a structural rewrite.
I work -best- under pressure. Give me ten million deadlines and I will both stress the hell out and churn some of my best work out.Or, well, be reasonable. I'm only in my mid-twenties my heart and liver and only take so much
let me ask straight up, what are you into
music, anime, films, video games, good comedy, and not taking thirsty questions on ask.fm
Is there any standard j-pop or j-rock outfit you go full weeb nerd over?
the dead-and-buried band school food punishment (I do pay attention to la la larks as a result). I also dig Ling Tosite Sigure and nano.RIPE.
What cheesy '80s music do you like?
SO MUCH.I've grown very fond of Depeche Mode's sound, but they're not the cheesiest. I'm fond of The Pointer Sisters, Eurythmics, Heart, some Madonna, and many others I'm forgetting off the top of my head!
What's a show you feel like you know really well even though you've never seen it?
For a long time, this was my relationship with Macross. But honestly, I'd need to see stuff on my feed before I fully remember.I feel this way mostly about The Walking Dead (which I don't need to watch more of) and Mad Men (which I DO need to watch).also Homestuck, because fuck tumblr
