What are your thoughts about people showing love to strangers and friends but are rude to their families?
Honestly I’ve never understood this myself. But I’ve been very lucky with my family and I’m fully aware that I’m blessed. So when it comes to issues with someone’s family I will never understand tbh. But I really don’t like it.I’ve always been bought up to have respect and treat people how I would want to be treated so any kind of rude behaviour frustrates me, unless it’s been given, don’t give it.
Do you think that reclaiming terms which have been used as insults (queer, sissy as examples) is empowering or disempowering?
Personally I think it’s empowering.. not to back down to insults like that but to somewhat embrace it. They’re still used as insults now a days which is sad. But it won’t be an insult anymore if it’s embraced and I think it’s our way of saying ‘what’s the point in calling us it, if we use those labels ourselves’ But that’s my opinion
