Another fathers day and this time I'm unable to see my father due to corona. I can’t surprise him the way I used to 3 years ago, I can’t see him holding hands with mama and cutting his cake, I can’t see him giving me a hug, I can’t see him say “Jay yaar tou mera kaam nai kaar daa”. I can’t see that “Champion” call coming on my cell phone. I can’t hear him sharing his thoughts with me. I can’t hear him cussing me out just because. he was always concerned about us and didn’t want us to do anything wrong, I can’t feel the darh I had when I used to get late coming back home at night and I knew he’s going to be waiting for me, I can’t see him giving me that choti si smile even when he tried to hold it in. I cannot hear him telling me to clip his nails. I sometimes want to go back in time and live everything once again with you papa, I want to do everything over and over again and never stop appreciating the fact that how good of a Son, Brother, Husband and dad you are. The way you have taught us about everything regarding every aspect of life was a life lesson and I now understand how important it is.
Papa this is the third year of you being in the hospital and 5th month of us not being able to see you but you said one thing “ Shukar karidaa haar haal vich Allah daa” so dad Shukar Allhamdullilah and INN SHAA ALLAH you’ll be coming back home soon Jahan itna time guzra Thora or sai Allah Mian Saab sai karain gain Ameen sum’ ma Ameen.
Respect and love your parents, give them your time, sit down with them. For us, every day is fathers day and mothers day. There is not a single day in which you cannot express your love and respect towards your parents and trust me it’s going to come back. Papa always said “ ajj Joo Tusi sadday naal karo gaay kaal tuwadi ulaad tuwaday naal Ohh hee karay gee”. It’s a circle of life.
Happy Fathers day Papa, I love you and you’re the only reason why I am still going and I will make sure I do it till the end.
