Hey just wondering if you think art is more of a talent than a skill yiu can learn. I've been wanting to get good at art but not sure if i ever will because it seems all good artists are just simply talented. Big fan btw
People can be born with a natural inclination towards certain tasks. For example, a taller person is naturally more fit for playing basketball than a midget. This applies to nearly everything. Art is no different. The reason why it can get difficult is because it just requires a lot of knowledge and skill. No human on Earth can know everything and therefore no human on Earth can draw everything just from memory. Likewise, there are so many different styles and mediums to art that to master even one can take a lifetime. Obviously art is not "impossible", but since it is so vast, I believe everyone can be a good artist in one way or another. It just depends on what your mind is more inclined towards (environments? graphic design?, etc.) and what kind of personal tastes you have since it's hard to do well when you don't even like what you're creating. In the end, even if you see many artists as just having mere talent, the fact of the matter is that hardwork can only make talent grow, and the harder working, the more skill and knowledge acquired, and the better artist you can become. So it's not a matter of whether some artist are just "talented" more a matter of finding what you are good at and what you like and working hard to acquire the skills and knowledge required for depicting it.
