Hey! I do quite a bit of planning for my stories but I don't tend to sit down and write out full outlines as I'm writing.
Weirdly enough, I outline after the book is finished to tighten the editing process. But as I'm writing I do a lot of mental planning, determine my characters motivations, conflicts, short term and long term goals, and write once I know exactly what I want to happen.
Then my developmental editor and I go over the early drafts over finish chapters and work out the kinks & polish! So that's how it all goes down :)
Not yet! Still waiting to find the right guy! Know anybody? :P
Hey! No ma'am :). Still in progress. But it should be finished by mid-September. The ending for this book has already been outlined now it' just a matter of writing it :)
I love it here! Very, very peaceful. I've been learning German for the last six months and since I work with kids I pick up new words everyday. The summer here is particularly lovely and the people are very friendly. One of the things I love most about Germans is the great conversations you can have about real world issues without any of it being shallow. Small talk doesn't really exist here and I enjoy the realness. Your friends are your friends for life.
Haha I got ya!
Hey Jennifer! Haha lots and lots of research. I spent quite a while researching police communications, listening to actual calls into Dispatch, watching videos, and reading transcripts so I got a feel for what these conversations sound like. Granted I took a creative license with how Anderson infiltrates the system, but I wanted that moment in the book to be as realistic as possible in terms of the communications because that's what the whole chapter centers on. Thank you so much for reading!
I didn't actually :). It's always been a fun hobby I've done on the side because I enjoyed it. Even as I'm moving towards taking things in a professional direction, writing still is a fun side project for me!
I have not read the After series but I've seen it around book stores here in Germany. Glad to see a fellow member of the Wattpad community doing so well with her works!
Hey there! I'm totally fine with answering this one :). I moved to Germany because I went overseas last year and fell in love with the country and the people while I was studying to get my teaching certification. After teaching in other parts of Europe, I decided that Germany was the best fit and found an awesome place to work here as well. I lived in LA for over seven years and worked in music for longer, and I hit a point in my life where I wanted to do something different and challenging and fun. So I moved last year and am very happy I did :)
Patty, honestly thank you so much for taking the time to check out the audiobook! I remember you told me a couple days ago that you were going to start listening and I'm really excited to see that you've continued on with it! I'll be updating it continually so I hope you keep enjoying the book! Thank you again!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you're reading!
