Hi Urusai, I follow you on youtube and I consider you one of the best players. So i wanted to ask a thing about the keyboard, i bought a mechanical keyboard for playing osu!mania but i didn't feel well with it, so i rofunded it, is it important to have a mechanical keyboard? What's the difference?

I'm happy you consider me one of the best players (i'm not playing at the moment though q-q).
And about the keyboard... Hmm, it's not important what keyboard you use when you start playing, when i started playing i used to use a membrane one, got a really good level using it, but after trying a mechanical one (took me a while to get used to it) it felt more comfortable to play using it than a membrane one, since it has better time response and you need less effort on pressing keys (depends on the switch).
I would say that the difference, after using both, is that mechanical one has better time response so your accuracy feels more ok (at least it felt like that in my case) and you need less effort on pressing keys, making you feel less tired and making your stamina better (again, im talking using my case as a reference), the only bad thing about mechanical keyboards is the "double tap" issue, that after pressing a key a certain amount of times (A LOT haha) it starts pressing double times (aa, bb, cc forr examplee) and that might mess up your score during a play.
Not sure if i explained myself right, but thing is, if you feel more ok using a membrane one, then keep using a membrane one, but a mechanical one would help you to get better more easy if you get used to it.

I use Corsair Strafe (Red Switch), and yes, after trying a Brown Switch one, i would definitely recommend one (i would try to get a Brown one, but the one i use now still works, and i'm not playing o!m at the moment so... xD)
Might probably get one in a future if i get a new pc as well. :P

What do you think about monitor for mania? Do you think that better monitor makes game a bit easier/more readable or it gives faster progress? In your opinion is it possible to be "pro" (like you or same other top mania players) with 60 hz monitor?
Well, monitor does help some people to get better, but i don't think skills depends on the monitor you use, it might be more comfortable for some people to play with a 144Hz monitor and it might not be for others, but that depends on the player.
And about the 60Hz monitor, i actually use a 60Hz one, so i think yes, you can be really good using one (i would say that skills depends on how much time you spend playing and instead of what monitor you use in the process).

Sorry for late answer D:, and no, i think i haven't tried it yet, but i doubt i would get a good score on it because i haven't been playing a lot of mania lately, and that made my speed/stamina get worse.

Thing is, there was a day when i wanted to play a certain map which it's patterns weren't comfortable for me (bursts from right to left), and since this game doesn't have the mirror option i tried turning the monitor upside down with a downscroll skin so it looks like if i was using mirror (bursts from left to right), after that (got a good score on that map by the way) i tried playing other maps with the monitor turned upside down and accuracy felt more comfortable than playing with DDR Style so i kept playing this way (i don't know if it was a good day or if there's really a difference between both styles, it might probably be something different that's just inside my head haha).
