How long of a show and what genre would it be if you could direct your own anime?

Doaks
I'd make a really long series about a person or maybe a group of people life from birth to death covering everything. Learning to speak, learning basic knowledge every human knows, learning rules, getting punished from breaking said rules, going through puberty and teen angst and rebellion, learning about sex, having relationships, having sex, school drama, making of friends, the loss of friends, the regaining of friends, maybe discrimination of some sort, hanging out with friends learning to drive, graduating, going to college, figuring out the future, getting a job, marrying, having kids, raising kids, maybe marriage issues, maybe remarrying down the line, sending kids off a they become adults, having grandkids and maybe great grandkids, the deaths of family members be it old age or some other cause, and ending it all with the death of the main character as he/ she dies knowing he/ she left a legacy of family. I'd want to so this because every great slice of life series has left me wanting more. Knowing the characters' lives will continue on and I won't be able to see it is one way of knowing that series did a phenomenal job. I want to see more even if nothing exciting happens. I just want to spend more time with those characters because I've come to love their traits and personalities rather than the narrative that surrounded them. I'd want to experiment with that idea where you do get to spend more time with those characters, in fact, you get to spend all of the time with those characters through to the very end. The twist, however, and one of the themes would be a commentary on the slice of life genre of sorts. Even with something as thorough as this story, you'll still want to see more. That itch will never be scratched. With the deaths of the main characters, there will have been more characters they were attached to that the viewer is also attached to. They'll want to see how the lives of those people will turn out. It'll never end. I'd want show the complexities of the trees relationships we're in and not just of people but the relationships trees we make of experiences and things of the world around us, and I'd want to send messages of the beauties of all of this to give the viewers an appreciation of life itself as no matter how much of life we show, slice-of-life can never be the whole of life.

Are you one cour or two cour?

Doaks
When looking for a show, I used to look for one cour shows because they're be less of a time investment in the case I don't love them, but I think most of the shows in my favorites are 2+, and ever since I started dropping and shelving shows, I've been picking up 2 cour shows more often. Plus, shows that I keep up with while airing that are 2 cour or split cour haven't disappointed me in a long while, so I'm going to say 2 cour.

What anime had the prettiest background/scenery that just made you stop the episode and go WOW

Juste
Oh Non Non Biyori definitely. The first few minutes of the first episode are just beautiful backgrounds accompanied by soothing music with Renge's recorder playing along. It's such a beautiful scene that NNB actually has the record for the anime to drive me to tears within the least amount of time on the first watch because of this. I had to stop the episode and recollect my thoughts because it was a moment that I realized I discovered a truly beautiful show and it all happened so fast. Needless to say, Non Non Biyori became one of my favorite anime of all time.

Do you have a twitter or anything along those lines? We rarely talk on discord :<

Kori (Jonas)
I have a Skype and a Facebook, but I don't really use those as much as Discord. Feel free to message me on Discord whenever! I tend be lackadaisical when it comes to actively starting up conversations , but I'll definitely chat if someone messages me!

Where is your metaphorical line in the sand drawn when it comes to comedy ? Can things be to tasteless or do you believe that you can joke about anything ?

Daniel Thomas
Can you joke about anything? Well, yes and no, should you joke about anything? Well, again, yes and no. It all depends on the circumstances. You should be wary of what you say around certain people just like any conversation. You don't want to remind someone of a traumatic experience or something along those lines. However, I feel if a person makes a joke and inadvertently does this they shouldn't be blamed too hard because they had no idea. For example, just the other day, I was in a Discord chat and someone made a pedo joke, nothing serious, just someone jokingly saying what a pedophile might be thinking, and of course it was exaggerated. Well, someone in the chat who is I believe a social worker got really offended and immediately threatened to ban the user because he said he'd dealt with people who had dealt with pedophiles in some way or another. In this case, I jumped in and argued for the user that made the joke because there was no way he was supposed to know such a light joke would trigger such a reaction out of the admin. So, in short, knowingly joking about a sensitive topic isn't okay, but at the same time if someone does it completely on accident, I wouldn't hold it against them so long as I asked them politely not to do that around me.
Now if we're getting into political correctness in comedy, then that's a different story, but it still comes down to whether or not there's spite or malicious intent.

Which 3 characters in the anime world would you invite to your own personal dinner party if you had the option?

Doaks
Komari, Yui Hirasawa, and Aria Pokoteng. Three outgoing characters for a lively dinner party.

If you had to live in the world of one anime or manga, what would it be and why?

Ian McKillip
Definitely the universe of Key because I really like magical realism and I like supernatural events blended seamlessly with reality. Also amazing sunsets.
