Yep. It hurts when you can tell when they're losing interest or drifting away, especially when they're leaving you hanging, not addressing it/won't address it, or are actively trying to put distance between you without communicating they no longer want to be in the connection.
Sometimes all you can do is accept it and let them go. Life can get in the way sometimes, we all have lives and priorities and obligations etc and we have to make allowances for that, but people make effort to communicate and maintain/build connections where they genuinely want to, if it matters enough to them.
Better to lose someone who wasn't for you or who wasnt genuine so you can be released and find others more aligned and authentic, than fight to keep someone who doesn't care about you/the connection or doesn't want to be there 🤷‍♀️💜
