I'd urge you to get better influences - I know you care about technique and speed... but sooner or later you're going realize that noone else does.I hate being the guy saying that because I had it said to me, and I got angry and rejected the idea.you've got all the shops in the world, but you suffer from Francesco Fareri syndrome - when you get to the end of your 10000 note shred run and you play one note with a bit of vibrato it just doesn't have any balls.I'm not saying don't play metal, I'm saying that balls in the genre comes from how you end phrases, not the phrases. I don't want to say I'm the master of this, but Martin Goulding really drilled the idea into me and it paid off. I think when I play metal now it sounds like it's got some balls. The vibrato is controlled, defined and aggressive. Exit notes are hit as semi harmonics so they cut through and the speed is still there for effect, but it's saying something. You don't have sex for the sex, it all leads up to the orgasm!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UwXoYoaTC8
meh - I like MGS games in small doses If it was made by someone other than Kojima I'd be all over it, either that or someone would need to edit his scripts HEAVILY.The original MGS was great, tight gameplay and cool story. Then 2 came along and cutscenes took over... I get that Kojima wants to tell his story.... but when you've got more than a feature film in cutscenes in your GAME then it's not much of a game is it? Either that or you're not a good story teller. Let the story come across in the damn game.
When sight reading stacked chord shapes, did you have to memorize what certain shapes look like after a long period of time, or do you still literally read each individual interval between each note?
Wow man you have 185 pending questions!? Lots of question, literally amazing...
and I'm eternally grateful! I'll get them all done.... but I'm hoping to coincide that with my crowd fund for the album ;)I need YOUR help! :)
Why be active on a website whose purpose is to answer questions, just to not answer questions haha? You are a master troll, senpai

Why do people make such a big deal about sex? I've been having it for a while now and I think it's fun but I don't see what the obsession is about at all...
This is easily my favorite question on here
Are you romantic?
very *sends a dick pic*
http://ask.fm/LeviClay/answer/125856206281 I'm glad you liked it. I have another question that came up with your answer: how can I detect when a song has autotune or not?
well at 2:54 you can hear the auto tune kick in when he sings "on" in this particular example.Auto tune is one of those things that's awesome when used well, but obvious when used badly.... if you've got any experience with auto tune! Luckily, most of the music buying public don't!
Sounds great, I mean... it has that new polished edge they've gone for in recent years and doesn't have the raw edge of Ixnay, but it sounds like what I'd expect. It's not excellent by any means, but if it were on the radio I wouldn't buy it.I don't like the autotune I can hear on Dexter's voice - REALLY badly done, too obvious.
would u say thank you scientist are one of the best techy bands around? I feel they are but they don't get the recognition they deserve
I don't think of them as tech at all. They're progressive yeah, but it's more about the arrangements and the timbres more than the techniques IMO
