Friday/saturday.

Can I ask you, how did you deal with it? With them, with toxic family members?
My great-grandmother passed away this Friday, she was the only good person in their family. I didn't make it to see her for the very last time because I was terrified to see my grandparents, they're toxic, evil, and mentally abusive. While I was living abroad she moved in with them.
I didn't tell anyone that I moved back to LV until today when my grandmother asked me how I'm coming to the funeral. Then I told her that I'd been in LV for a little bit and sadly I didn't have a lot of time (I work, I have a lot of stuff on my plate) and I was planning to see my great grandmother on her birthday which... never came. (She was supposed to turn 90 on 8jan)
.. she told me that she was glad that my g-grandmother didn't know that I was in Latvia and didn't come to visit.
"She would have died of heartache"
That I'm so great and she's going to tell everyone (in her passive-aggressive tone.) Basically blaming me for not making it. It's like she thinks I sit around and do nothing and like I was waiting for my great-grandmother to pass away. It's very sad for me already but this???

I wish I could talk to someone. But I can't. I feel like I should start a blog just to talk about what I'm going through as a member of a toxic family. Things just keep piling up and it's too much for me. I think those, who care - deserve to know.

What are your local rules when it comes to fireworks? Are you happy with those? Every year there's a big debate where I live regarding whether people should set them off on New Year's Eve or not 🎇🚫
The debate is everywhere, mainly because it's very harmful for dogs. The next day we see posts everywhere that dogs have ran off.
It's really sad, most of them never return to their owner and end up staying in the shelter. 🥺
But not only dogs, birds get shot down.
Basically there aren't any rules for fireworks. I can't say that I like it or not. People would still abuse the system if it wasn't allowed. It makes up for a great tradition to go out of house to watch fireworks and drink champagne. For animals it sucks. Honestly it's their owner fault, who takes dogs with them to make them watch the fireworks... 😬
My rabbits are stressed out, too. They don't understand why it's so loud. I just hope that they don't react.

In a way I do believe destiny. It's just what we call that thing that's supposed to happen to us. That coin toss that happens when you leave the house. Like if the lamp falls on you or not. Or if that car runs you over or not.
