What kind of music calms you down?

It really depends on my mood and why I need calming down. Mostly I listen to the music on Light FM, my local community radio station. I have a wide range of CDs in my collection, something for every mood.

What YouTube video made you laugh recently?

Recently I spent time watching old clips from The Muppet Show. I especially loved watching the Swedish Chef doing "Popcorn", and Animal interrupting a performance of "You Give Me Fever".

What was the last movie you watched that was really good?

The last movie I watched in the cinema was "Les Miserables". As a fan of the stage musical, I really enjoyed the movie, they did a really good job and I was crying by the end...

Are you a planner or a pantster when it comes to writing stories?

I'm more of a pantster. I have a basic idea of where I want a story to go, or what I want to say, but find it easier to start writing and see where the story takes me.

Have you ever bought something on the internet?

Yes. My most recent purchases have been some books published by some of my friends that are not available in Australian book shops (yet)

If you were given a time machine to travel backwards in time, what are the three mistakes that you would want to rectify?

I can't think of any. If I changed some of the mistakes from the past, I wouldn't be who I am now. Mistakes are also learning opportunities and a chance for growth and change.

What color do you wear most frequently?

Right now it's a toss up between a magenta pink and blue. Thinking about my wardrobe right now, I think it would be blue, but only just.

Are you good at swimming?

No - I only did swimming lessons at Primary School, but I do have basic water safety skills that are useful.

When the electricity goes out in your home, what’s the first thing you miss?

The lights - it's a bit hard on the eyes to read by candle light...

Name any 3 things that make you smile?

My kids, writing, reading a good book. I could go on, but the question only asked for 3 things...

Who are the people you spend the most time with?

Right now, it's probably my two boys. At 9 and 11, they are a lot of fun.
