Well as a black belt in muay thai kickboxing, krav maga, and brazilian jiu jitsu, I have a wonderful tactic. :)
When he puts you in a head lock, if he's behind you, put your chin down towards your chest as much as possible. It will help with air flow. Then take both hands and put them in a half fist, put your fingers (while your fingers are close together) between his arm and your neck. Dig your fingers between that place but keep your hand in a half fist. Then, keeping your hands in place, stand up VERY TALL and look up at the ceiling, this will lessen his grip. Then drop your bass (as in spread your legs and keep them bent). His grip should even be more lessened. Take an elbow of yours and elbow him in the ribcage (it will hurt him). Do this on both sides until he lets go. Then, keeping a hold of one of his arms and turn around where you are facing him and place your unoccupied hand on the back of his neck and jerk his upper torso down to the ground. Stay close to him so he can't get away. You can either shove him away to be a cool sibling or start kneeing him. My dad was murdered by gun shot from an awful man. There really is no way for me not to be blunt on the situation.. It's how it happened and I cannot change it.
