I feel like I can guess a person’s political views with a high degree of accuracy by their appearance or even by listening for a few minutes even if they are not talking about politics. But how could this be? You too?

Scientists say there is a 50-50 chance that we are not real, but a computer generated simulation. What are your thoughts on this?
I’ve seen vids of “disappearing cars” on roads because it just glitched in the simulation. I’d call this a rare instance of highly suspect science. Someone watched Matrix re-runs too much and had extra time on their hands.

Well I was just bumped into really hard in the Starbuck’s drive thru and the lady never said 1. Are you ok, or 2. I’m sorry. Bumped? You mean a collision? If the rear bumper cover cracked, it could cost $2000+ to fix (replace and paint if it is a wrap around style). I’d be outraged and call police to make a report. Of course, they might just say “exchange insurance info” and not show up being low speed and private property.

Is science even more of a rabbit hole than that we encountered in Alice in Wonderland? I mean, talk of a mad hatter seems more believable than all this mumbo jumbo these days about black holes, and worm holes, and time travel, and space and UFOs, and what not. What say you, GSers?

There's an old saying - don't believe anything unless you see it with your own eyes, and even then, only believe half of that. Now, that's wisdom! Not sure where in that it says believe everything you read in peer reviewed scientific journals. I'm just sayin'
This actually confirms to me what I have suspected of you from your recent attacks on science. You are part of the (growing) group who only believe in something if they can experience it for themselves. Flat Earthers are one example of this. I find it surprising there are more people like this. While science is not absolute, it does keep pushing forward to be accurate. Sometimes it just takes additional technology advances to prove something. I'm not sure why you are so anti-science when you are surrounded with, and use in your daily life, so many things brought about by science.

The theory of relativity is a theory, the theory of evolution is a theory. Science is based on theories, most if not all of them unproven. Tomorrow, I could theorize that you're all just figments of my evolution. Doesn't mean it's true. In fact, a theory, by its very definition is unproven.
Actually, there are elements of The Theory of Relativity that are visible to you now. Mercury is a liquid because of relativistic effects as one example.
