So on my first day at this job, some hoe was changing in front of the skinny, weird looking dude manager and a couple male cooks. I know I'm only spending the summer here, & it is a restaurant job (i.e., just the usual), but I'm done lol, wtf

And you didn't take a pic of this woman to post...why???

Ever shot a .308? I really like the SCAR (especially the SCAR-17). It's an amazing .308 rifle, and is a nice change from all the AR-15s (AR-15s are solid gun but I do like something a bit different). Give it a try if you get the chance to.

I haven't shot a semi-auto .308 rifle. I'll look into a range that could rent a SCAR.

Flashback Friday!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WEpLzsdEeY Have you ever crashed a party because you were in love with the host/hostess? BQ: Have you ever crashed a party for any reason? If so, why?

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
I've not crashed a party because of the host. My (rare) party crashes tended to be by accident and stumbling into some event mostly due to proximity. Once in college I ended up at a party of a bunch of arts/theater people even though I mostly hung out with the science and business crowd.

U.S. election poll. Who do you think will win? Hillary or Trump? BQ. Who do you want to win? Or does it matter?

Bocepous’s Profile PhotoRobin Hood
Trump may have won the primary, but I don't think he can take the general election. Trump is a big bully. BQ: Gary Johnson. Until we elect a non-traditional party, we'll have the same.

Did you think the Jean Grey actress was hot?

thecasualfanrises’s Profile Photocasual fan
I do find red heads to be appealing. Maybe if she was topless, I'd have taken more interest in her character. That's what Marvel movies is lacking...female nudity! They have Hugh Jackman on screen nekid, but what about the women?

What period of world history is your favorite to discuss? If you have more than one favorite, please share. Why is this particular period of world history fascinating to you? Please explain. Thanks! :)

The Roman Empire is quite interesting, but I tend to find the 20th century period of Vietnam from the end of the French colonization to the departure of the US in 1975. It was the first time in history the US lost an armed conflict to what was essentially a bunch of low tech farmers.

What if a magical fairy appeared before you and insisted you go to the year 1865(in the fall) in Moscow, Russia with him/her? What would you need to do in order to get prepared for it? What would you personally expect when showing up in this city during that year? BQ: Would you go willingly?

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
I'm not sure what is unusual about Moscow in 1865. Is this fairy going to bring me back when I want? Does she have nice boobs? Without looking it up, I think 19th century Russia was ruled by Czars. It was likely more stable than when the "Communists" took over. I guess to prepare I'd have to armor up with a 1000 rnds of 9 mm for my Beretta, 10,000 rds for an AR-15 (note to self: buy an AR-15), and 500 condoms. Yeah, that would be about right.

Have you ever heard mysterious voices coming from the forest? If so, were you brave enough to go see where the voices were coming from? If so, did you encounter the person(or spirit)behind the voices? BQ: Why are forests so mysterious?

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
I haven't heard such a thing. I suspect that people who hear such things are only hearing the natural sounds of the forest which are going to be very unusual to most people living in the cities/burbs. Our minds try to fit the unknown to something that is known to us.
I'd like to encounter a spirit or similar. Until then, I'm highly skeptical of any such "supernatural" events.

Make sure you review x men for us. Comment on JLaw and STurn.

thecasualfanrises’s Profile Photocasual fan
The movie was moderately entertaining, but the Apocalypse character was a bit flat. He wanted to destroy the world for what exactly? It would be awfully boring to be living in a bunch of wreckage with only a few thousand people left (mostly mutants). JLaw was ok but Sturn (as Jean Gray)...not sure about that. We already know she is the Phoenix, so letting loose her powers weren't all that surprising. It also doesn't work well with the movies set in the 2000's when Jean is so weak she can barely fight off a lizard mutant. C'mon...she destroyed the world's most powerful mutant here. Meh. It is also a little overdone that Magneto decides to be "good" for maybe 10 minutes. He always ends up taking vengeance on anyone who wronged him.

Why don't animals laugh, smile or cry?

They do in their own way. I was talking to my mom and she told me about garage kitty. The cat was being dive bombed by birds while sitting in the garden. Kitty snatched a bird from the AIR with her paw and then played with it for awhile. I bet she laughed at those birds then!

Will life as we know it, still be here in 50 years? Or will a nuclear war wipe us out? What are your thoughts?

Bocepous’s Profile PhotoRobin Hood
Life will go on in 50 years without a nuclear war though I do think someone will detonate a device as an act of aggression/terrorism.

What you mean non-existent, Neo? Rio the future american.

thecasualfanrises’s Profile Photocasual fan
Rio disappeared from YA many years ago. She didn't migrate here. You are weird (realize this is coming from a perverted, demented, creepy type of guy)

Instead of obsessing with a woman who is essentially non-existent, how about you talk to some live, human females when you go out and about? You don't even have to ask for a date, just practice your interpersonal skills.

anonymous believes the mother of the child who got in the pit with harambe the gorilla should be charged with negligence as well as the gorilla's death. thoughts? http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/harambe-gorilla-anonymous-publishes-chilling-video-demanding-action-against-childs-parents-1563413

sscabss’s Profile Photoscabs
First off, anonymous is a terror/criminal organization. Children are unpredictable. Even the most observant parents aren't going to control 100% of their child's actions. Unless there is documented evidence of her parental negligence, this is just a tragic accident. Now, her jumping in was a bad choice. As for the death, a human life is more important than a "monkey." All those ape bleeding hearts can help apes by living in Africa and bunking with apes.

part two of my little brother's bizarre high school LITERATURE class (previously mentioned they learned about OJ simpson). apparently they also learned all about ted bundy. how exactly are these things relevant to literature?

sscabss’s Profile Photoscabs
Are they discussing biographies about them? Talking about the style of writing and the author? If so, it is literature. If not, this is better served in a history class.

If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose?

Why would I choose someone dead? Sitting next to a rotted corpse is terrifying. There is no way I could eat.

What's your reaction to the words "We need to talk.."?

This is only said by a woman to her partner. It is never anything good. For once, why can't she say "We need to talk about having a threesome with Jessica."

Did you ever wonder why medications are so expensive? Here is a cost sheet, showing thousands of percent mark up, on most drugs. Do you feel this should be legal? http://www.rense.com/general54/preco.htm

Bocepous’s Profile PhotoRobin Hood
What the masses don't understand is the massive amount of R&D costs involved in bringing a drug to market. For any drug which is effective, there may have been a dozen failures beforehand. The drug company had to research all of them to find "the one." To cover the cost of that, they have to charge enough to validate all that research. Without the profit motive, we would not have any new drugs.
One cannot simply look at the raw materials and manufacturing costs.
