What's the best news you've ever received?

I'd say it's either "Meet me @name_of_the_place" or "She doesn't seem to have any brain damage."
Sometimes when somebody's life or your own future is at stake things like "You've been accepted into our place_connected_with_education." are worth nothing.

has anyone said/done something to you that has made a positive impact on your life today?

Not really an impact, but one of my co-workers said to our someone-like-boss "I wanna work with her and no one else. Please make it possible." That was nice :)

Do you think you've changed in the last year? In what way?

Maybe not in the last year, but quite recently. Two biggest accumulations of negative / tragic events happened in my life in 2009 and later between 2012 and 2014. Every person is influenced when they have to face something which overwhelms them, that's normal. I think I've matured a lot which is a good thing, but on the other hand sometimes I feel like an elderly lady among people my age. I've also stopped caring about minor things and that definitely makes my life easier.

share a memory that makes you smile

When I was a kid, we used to go with my cousins to the local ZOO every summer. Elephants were always interesting, but that one time when one of them was peeing in front of the audience and every spectator (even the adults) was like "Woo! Woow! Haha!" is imprinted in my mind for good xD Like, seriously? A peeing elephant is that interesting for you to shout in front of it xD?

What is missing in your life that would make you very happy?

- the need of constant travelling - I love to travel and even though I do have the opportunities to travel connected with my work, they're too rare for me to be pleased;
- one idiot who's lovely;
- I'd like my older cousin to be more present in my life (right now it's impossible).

I don't want to do anything stupid regarding my relationships with others, so I have a lot of thinking regarding that matter - especially now that I'm trying to change some things.

What are you looking forward to doing today?

Right now there are no "events" in my life I'm looking forward to. I mean that I know what's gonna happen in the next days, it's nothing extraordinary and well, there's nothing really that important to anticipate. I'm not thinking further ahead right now.

I'm not sure if simplicity is the key - sometimes you have to think about something a lot and try many approaches before you do something right, but I totally appreciate the "storms" part :)
I've once heard a comparison that weeds are the strongest and trees are strong against the strong wind - not because they are opposing the wind with all their might, but because they let the wind caress them and despite temporarily changing shape once the wind stops they go back to their usual shape. I like that comparison very much :)

Umm... huuh... I literally don't know what to say, what is considered random and what's not... Uhh, I'm "afraid" (not comfortable when forced to) to eat plums because when I was a kid I took a bite of one which had little worms inside ;_; Does that count?

Society TRIES to be receptive, but it doesn't work that well (yet?).
Well, let's look around - most people with mental illnesses are stigmatised. Being weak mentally equals (for many people) as being a loser - even though people who are mentally weak are one of the greatest fighters for their happiness I know. People who were raped are made fun of - if it's a girl she just "had to dress/act slutty", if it's a boy then "guys can't be raped, come on". Domestic violence is considered as something to be ashamed of, especially if it's a woman who hits another person. Societies make fun of homosexuals (it's changing, but very slowly). I think the only people who were abused and are never made fun of are kids who were victims of paedophiles. At least that's what I'm observing "around" me - in the reality and on the web.
Of course, all of the above is changing for the better, but very slowly and mostly inside intellectual groups. People who - let's say - don't like to use their brains are still making it hard for victims to be themselves.

do you have an interest in something that most people don't know of?

Hmm, Pokemon pogs/tazos xD ? Neither my co-workers nor most members of my family know about it, but my friends do.
In general, I have a lot of hobbies and my friends remember about most of them. It's just that I don't spend a lot of time or equal amount of time on each of my hobbies - it varies. For example, I really love "The X Files" but it's not really something to brag about when the show used to be all done for about 20 years. Right now we're expecting new episodes to be seen, so I can be in the "x-philiac mode" again :)

How many people do you think you've met in your life?

I've met lots and lots of people due to my constant travelling. I've actually met so many I can't remember most if them even though I was talking/studying/working with them... When I was little I knew a limited number of people, but right now it's like "fate" is trying to make up for it xD

what are the things that you want to achieve in this life?

Realistically speaking, I'd like to have my current job OR any other job which is interesting and to my taste, I'd like all people and animals I care about to be healthy and as happy as they can (again, realistically) be and I'd like to spend the rest of my life being in touch with my soulmate. I hope that's not too much to wish for ;_;

Do our social backgrounds determine our future success?

Unfortunately, sometimes they do. It's easier for someone rich or moderately rich to travel somewhere to get a higher quality education (i.e. to a foreign country). It's also easier to travel and look for a better job somewhere abroad when you can afford it.
Secondly, many students have to work and learn at the same time. If someone has enough money, they can focus solely on learning and don't have to worry about not having anything to eat or about the need to help their family financially.
Fortunately, nowadays there are many ways for poorer people to still achieve their dreams (scholarships etc.), but it's still connected to working for it twice as hard as their richer counterparts.

post a picture of something that you has made you feel *better about yourself, today

I'm not gonna post a picture because it's a word document on my computer, haha, but I have a file in which I'm writing down Christmas / birthsdays presents lists for my friends. I buy presents for them all year long whenever I see something they may like and these things can be hidden in my cabinet even for several months till the time comes xD So, in order to not forget what I have already bought I write it down. One week ago I spotted something perfect for my friend online and today it came to me via post :) Most of them always say that they appreciate that presents from me are very personalised so the purchase made me feel better about myself :)
