(2). thats fine right? or should i take it more often?

(Full paragraph starting from here) - Well I personally never see the real point of taking it more often, unless its a shake or supplement pill specifically for pre-workout for the energy and focus or something for fat burning or something for just mass gain if you're a skinny guy whos metabolism is too fast and is hard to have to foods digested and used properly for the body and not just shooting out of you. But for protein shakes, I'd say it's only something you'd wanna take right after your workout, as at any other point of the day it just doesn't have more use than eating some regular protein of an animal.
(The part truly answering your question is here) -
The point of having a protein shake is because in simple terms, it's basically like some good chicken (animal protein) in a drink, but you would have it after your workout session because when you complete your session your body is in an anabolic state, therefore not being able to properly breakdown and use the macro and micro nutrients of the chicken you would eat. The protein shake is an anabolic version of such a needed meal, as it's already broken down for you and is ready to be used up by your body.
Which is why it's really only useful when having it after your workout and not just when you're bored and chilling watching TV thinking drinking shakes will just make you big, they have no added effect whatsoever, there's no "magic growth" in it. Hence why a lot of people are just plain ignorant when they tend to convince themselves that protein shakes are not natural.
