Ask @PinkiePie97:

What is your history with the now defunct Hub channel?

Honestly, I wish I watched it more when it was on. I watched Discovery Kids on and off. I was off when it was replaced by The Hub and was a bit caught off guard when I found out it was completely different. I kinda let nostalgia cloud my judgement a bit back then, so it took a while to actually get into the channel. I kept up with MLP and LPS after getting into them, but that was it as far as original programming goes. I have seen a few episodes of Dan Vs. and I did like it, but I got into it not long before The Hub was replaced by Discovery Family. Since reruns were taken off, I haven't been able to see more. I did like a few of their acquired shows. I watched Tiny Toons, liked a few of the sitcoms, and have seen some episodes of Animaniacs (though I think Netflix got me more into it), Fraggle Rock, and Atomic Betty. I was finally starting to get more into the channel when it was replaced by Discovery Family.
Now that I read this back, it seems more like just a ramble than an actual history, but this is probably the best answer you're going to get.

How you discover MLP?

Chevistian C
I think I've known about it since it started because I looked at the listings for The Hub when it launched, but I didn't actually watch it until 2013. That was when I found out about bronies. Honestly, I'm not sure how I didn't know about them sooner. I was already a fan of Lauren Faust for her work on The Powerpuff Girls and Fosters' Home for Imaginary Friends. I had already known about her involvement, but I didn't watch the show because I didn't think it would be something I like. I still didn't watch it right when I found out about bronies, but a few weeks later I was flipping through the listings and seeing what was on and MLP was on. Remembering what I found out, I decided to give it a try and I liked it so I started watching more episodes.
