Here are the teams I find intriguing. Not choosing "who'll be the best", just the interesting storylines.
Stagg: They had such a strange 2014, with the six-player suspension before Week 0 at Lincoln, the rainout forfeit win at Fairfield and the eventual forfeit win with American Canyon, which was using ineligible players. They should be solid, and probably the most complete team in the SJAA, with McNair. It'll be fun to watch Lavante Bushnell in his second year as a full-time QB, and junior two-way star Cutrell Haywood work through a full varsity season.
Lincoln: There could be a quarterback competition between junior Aaron Thomas and senior Colby Dickson, and word is the Trojans' offense could utilize its newfound speed and open things up a bit. It's strange for a school with 2,800 kids, with that football facility and with the talent of last year to post consecutive 4-6 seasons. The pressure is on, but this could be the right group to change it.
Tracy: The phenomenal senior class of skill position players has departed, but the meat and potatoes of winning high school football, the offensive and defensive lines, are big, talented and experience. So expect Tracy to be tougher than expected.
Manteca: The Buffaloes' pride themselves on old-school football, from the natural-surface field to the I-form, power offense the past couple of years. But, Manteca could open things up in multiple sets to make the most out of versatile senior quarterback Dakarai Charles.
