What do you do when the remote is too far?

I don't normally use a TV, but when I do and the remote is too far, I walk over and pick it up.

Best music service? Pandora, Soundcloud or Spotify?

If I use a music service, I generally use Rdio? That said, I rarely if ever stream music.

Hey what's your ask.fm avatar from?

Oh hey, I have totally forgotten. Judging by the image name though, it is from Nisekoi. I believe it is Onodera's mother. Not 100% sure though.

What do you like to cook?

Simple things because I can't cook. Stuff like fried rice or omelets. I do sometimes make muffins as well.

What holiday gift would make you really happy?

What Draggle said. Leaving aside the possibility of being given enough money for such a life style, an all expenses paid, several month vacation to some place nice would make me pretty happy.

If you had to get on a 14 hour flight, who would you want to sit next to?

No one. I'd like having more space. Thank you.

Which three things would you take to a deserted island?

A warp gate back to my room, Coffee, Manga for when my warp gate is under going maintenance.

If you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be?

Some coconut variety. Looks like plain, average vanilla, but tastes terrible.

Should guys wear a beard and what kind?

Since I often have a beard out of laziness, I will say yes, they should to make me feel less lazy. As for kind, the unkempt neckbeard kind. Again, to make me look less bad.

Have you ever played tennis?

I used to take lessons for it when I was much younger, but that was a long time ago and having not played for so long (not to mention never being okay at it in the first place) means that I am totally terrible at it now. Probably can't even hit a ball properly anymore.

What is the best thing to do on a first date?

The very first date is when you need to quickly determine if someone is totally not your type. So, you should ask them about this season's best girls and best ships. If they are very different from yours, well...a second date might not be a good idea.

Do you show your power level (a.k.a. your anime fandom)? If so, how do you express it and to what extent do you express it? If not, why not?

Around most people, my power level is on a need to know basis. That is to say, I won't deny liking anime/manga, but only if I am asked about it or if it comes up in conversation somehow.
Most of my friends know I like anime and I do often end up bringing it into discussion, e.g. Oh, well there was this anime that played out the story that you are describing, etc...
I have been pretty fortunate in that most folk around me know what anime is. I went to high school in a town that is predominately Asian, so most of my classmates knew what anime was if they weren't already fans of it. Similarly, my university also has a sizable Asian population and it is full of nerds who naturally gravitate towards anime and whatnot.
I do keep the full details of what kind of shit I watch sorta secret though. Like, if someone asks me for recommendations or simply starts an anime related discussion, I will gladly name drop the mainstream friendly stuff like Steins;Gate, FMA, AOT, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and so on, but I will normally stay far away from discussion of stuff like cute girls doing cute things anime or perverted harems/romcoms (I have seen far too many of these, haha).
You can even see it in the merchandise I buy. Most of the stuff I have bought features cool action scenes or non-sexualized characters and what not. I don't think I have anything that would make my conservative parents or friends raise an eyebrow or two.
Continuing on from there, you won't hear me drop anime fandom terminology in conversations either (even if they are about anime). Like, I won't use words like waifu, yuri or what have you except maybe at an anime convention where I am hanging out with twitter friends (though even then, you won't hear too much risque stuff from me).
Day to day, I don't go around expressing my power level much. I have gone to class wearing my AOT bag, and I probably wouldn't mind wearing a different anime related bag to class either, as long as it wasn't perverted looking, I guess. I also have a few small badges or key chains that I might carry around with me though I often just forget.
I guess hanging around anitwitter or just watching anime greatly increases your threshold for what you consider lewd or not. I once got asked by a coworker if I was into young girls because I had this reasonably innocent picture: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=29481688 (apparently you could almost see up her skirt...) set as my phone background.
Unfortunately, this "occasionally drop anime into conversation without consequence" or "carry simple anime related gear" lifestyle of mine is going to have to come to an end soon. I avoid talking about my likes and stuff at work, especially if it is related to anime. Maybe someday, I won't, but I don't think I am too interested in talking about it at work anyway.
So, once I graduate (very soon), I will probably become a complete closet otaku.

If you had more money than you ever need, would you give it away?

If I had more money then I'd ever need, I'd paste my bank balance in Word as the largest possible Clip Art, print it, hang it up on the wall and spend most of the day starting at it.

Do you sing in the shower? What kind of songs?

If I could actually sing even a little and if I was alone, I probably would. But as it stands, I can't and thus don't.

Why do zombies like brain so much?

They wish to be as intelligent as they once were when alive. Unfortunately, their efforts are futile. Human brains are dissolved and turned into ordinary calories by the zombie digestive system. Good source of protein though.
