You are allowed to sign as many recruits as you want, regardless of open scholarship spots. But yes, that would result in someone losing their scholarship. It's called "oversigning." I think DeVille Smith will be the starter. And Kendall Smith may surprise by the end of the year, been hearing good things about him from the other players.
