I think so. They didn't really get much of a chance. Sonic 3D Blast wasn't that bad.
No Rosalina is still same as she was in Galaxy 1. It's incorrect saying she's the same as peach because objectively she's not. She still has her developed character with her same personality and story factually. Nothing's changed, no reason to not like her. She's still a great character.

Admittedly, Sonic X have one of the best game-adaptions in any anime. If you look closely at the SA1 & 2-arc's, they are damn near frame perfectly-adapted. The words are exactly the same too.
